New Details On Anna Nicole Smith’s Death

Anna always seemed like such a free spirit and she really adored her son. She will be missed by many.
Updates:

Chief Charlie Tiger of the Seminole, Florida police department, in a press conference this afternoon, said that Ms. Smith’s personal nurse called the hotel operator, who then called 911, at 1:38 p.m.

Law enforcement and paramedics responded to a call for medical assistance at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel, he said, at 1:45 p.m. A bodyguard had administered C.P.R., Chief Tiger said, before paramedics took the scene.

At 2:49 p.m., police were informed by hospital personnel that Ms. Smith had passed away. It’s unclear if this was the official time of death, or just when police were informed.

There was no immediate information on why Ms. Smith had a nurse with her.

A press conference that was originally scheduled to be held at the hospital has, according to CNN, been called off, at the request of Ms. Smith’s family, who asked that questions be directed to attorneys.

Ms. Smith’s body was being transferred to the Broward Medical Examiner’s office this afternoon.

A legal matter is likely to emerge over custody of Ms. Smith’s 5-month-old daughter, Dannielynn. Two men have both claimed to be the father: Ms. Smith’s personal attorney Howard K. Stern (whom Ms. Smith maintained was the father); and an ex-boyfriend, Larry Birkhead, a photographer. Mr. Birkhead filed a lawsuit contesting Mr. Smith’s claim as father in October.

A sizable fortune may be at stake in whoever is determined to be the father of Dannielynn, who is currently in the Bahamas being cared for by friends.

A court has ordered a paternity test, which was delayed multiple times by Ms. Smith’s attorneys, according to press reports. Just this week, a Los Angeles judge established Feb. 21 as a final deadline for the test.

Ms. Smith’s Web site, AnnaNicole.com, was overwhelmed with traffic this afternoon, as visitors attempted to visit the page. Meanwhile, the E! Network, which was home to Ms. Smith’s short-lived and critically decried reality television program, “The Anna Nicole Show,” issued a statement:

“E! Networks is deeply saddened by the tragic news. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones.”

The show only lasted through 2004, and was initially one of the highest-rated programs on the E! Network.

The Web site for TrimSpa, the diet supplement for which Ms. Smith served as a spokeswoman since 2003, was replaced with a statement from the company’s chief executive and founder, Alex Goen.

Anna Nicole Smith Dies?!!

Reality TV star and former model Anna Nicole Smith was pronounced dead Thursday after being taken to a Florida hospital, a law enforcement source told CNN.

Smith, 39, collapsed at a south Florida hotel, according to news reports.

“I can confirm that she is deceased. It’s as shocking to me as to you guys,” Smith’s attorney, Ronald Rale, told Reuters. “I don’t know anything further. [Her lawyer and husband] Howard [K. Stern], obviously, is speechless and grieving.”

Smith’s nurse called Seminole Hard Rock Hotel workers at 1:38 p.m. and security went to the room, hotel officials said. Fire rescue workers from both the Seminole Indian tribe and from Hollywood Fire-Rescue arrived minutes later and Smith was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood at 2:10 p.m.

Smith was involved in a paternity suit regarding the parentage of her daughter, Danielynn, as well as other disputes, including some regarding a house she stayed at in the Bahamas around the time she gave birth.

Earlier this week, Smith was included in a class-action lawsuit against a company, TrimSpa, for which she had worked as a spokesperson. TrimSpa makes a product it claims leads to substantial weight loss. The lawsuit alleges the marketing of the product, TrimSpa X32, was false or misleading.

Smith’s son, Daniel Wayne Smith, died at age 20 just days after the birth of Smith’s daughter. Pathologist Cyril Wecht said a lethal dose of methadone and antidepressants caused cardiac dysrhythmia, leading to his death.

Kim Kardashian To Sue Over Sex Tape

Is there anyone out there who believes this story?!

Attorneys for Kim Kardashian plan to file a legal claim in an effort to prevent the release of the DVD featuring Kardashian and her former boyfriend, singer Ray J.

Kardashian, 26, a longtime pal of no-stranger-to-homemade-porn Paris Hilton, confirmed the tapes’ existence, but insists she has “nothing to do” with them being made public.

Kardashian says she’s “hurt and embarrassed” about the prospect of the tape being made public. She added that she will be issuing a statement about developments to prevent a planned DVD release. She plans to take legal action as soon as today.

Kardashian, an LA-based stylist and stepsister of The Hills star Brody Jenner, briefly dated Nick Lachey in 2005 and is most recently linked with actor Nick Cannon.

Kim wants a career and when she was on Extra saying she hopes the tape remains private, she couldn’t even look the interviewer in the eye. Someone needs some acting lessons.

Mischa’s rep confirms Mischa Barton and Cisco Adler have decided to end their relationship of a year-and-a-half.

“Mischa and Cisco have decided to part ways,” says the actress’ rep. “Mischa is moving east soon and they both have very demanding schedules.”

On Wednesday, Us Weekly broke the news that the former O.C. star and the rocker had ended their romance, but then false reports surfaced claiming the couple had not split.

“They are fine – very happy together,” a rep for Contango Records, the label that handles Adler’s band, Whitestarr, reportedly said.

The couple has been dating since August 2005, two months after she ended her one-year relationship with oil heir Brandon Davis. Adler, 28, was once engaged to Kimberly Stewart, daughter of Rod Stewart.

Barton, 21, next will be seen starring alongside Hayden Christensen in Virgin Territory, a film set in Italy during the Black Plague, followed by a turn in the World War II drama Closing the Ring.

Okay, um, ya. What is this all about?! Really. Mischa has been dealing with Cisco’s huge nasty balls for a year-and-a-half and all of a sudden, I guess… I mean, I don’t know how she put up with those things up in her grill for so long.

The Backlash Continues Over Paris Hilton’s Racial And Homophobic Slurs

Paris’ wallet will burn for her sins if it’s up to the National Boycott of Paris Hilton Movement.

The group has written FILA demanding the clothing giant cut endorsement ties with her following the “very horrendous and hurtful” slurs against blacks and gays she uttered on a video - or face a boycott.

“Paris Hilton, is not the ‘face’ you or any Fortune 500 company desires,” group spokeswoman Linda Taylor told FILA. Company reps did not return calls. Paris has said she regrets saying the n-word and “faggot.”

This hasn’t been the first or last time Paris has used the “N” word, and she’s the one who kept begging to be videotaped. Luv it.

Nicky Hilton Backlash

The developer building Nicky Hilton’s South Beach hotel said he might part ways with the celebrity, citing an online video.

The developer behind Nicky Hilton’s planned South Beach hotel said Friday he is considering scuttling the project because she allegedly filmed a private videotape with older sister Paris making racist remarks.

”I’m very concerned about it. I’m shocked actually that she would participate in something like that,” developer Robert Falor said.

Falor said he has not talked to Hilton or her business partners and hasn’t made a decision on the project’s future. Still, he seemed eager to distance himself.

Women’s Wear Daily has reported that Hilton’s merchandise is not doing well, and Macy’s dropped her Chick junior sportswear line.’

I did say that if Parisite stopped receiving attention that would hurt her, getting dropped from business deals is pretty much the same thing. Sweet.
