While friends were "beautifully supportive," Knight, 34, tells The Advocate in its June 19 issue, others cautiously advised him, "Don't do it �" don't do it now."
Looking back, he says, "I remember saying to someone when I got one of those 'don't do it' [comments] �" I just remember hearing my voice being calm and saying, 'No, it's going happen. It's going to happen. I'm just letting you know.'"
"I could have not [spoken up]. I could have retreated. But I'm definitely happy I made the decision." (Washington has since apologized.)
Off camera Katherine Heigl (Izzie) says she kind of figured it out cuz T.R. should have offered to tap that ass.
Heigl says he came out to her gradually. "I wasn't shocked or surprised. ... It was more just like, 'Oh, okay, now I know why you don't want to go out with me.'"
But Knight, who is single ("Not that I've had the most successful dating experiences," he says) insists coming out hasn't much affected his love life. He says with a laugh that he still assumes people aren't interested in him, but notes: "Too much aggression isn't a good thing either."
T.R.'s one gay guy I really wish I could go gay for. If I was a dude, and lived in Hollywood, and had lots of money... yeah! I would hit on him. He's gorgeous. Did anyone else notice he dyed his hair darker, brings out his eyes and he's just so cute!
But if this dork leaves Grey's Anatomy because he can't get over Isaiah's slur I'm boycotting all his future projects. I don't like weenys except when they come on a bun. Hardy har har.

He is sooooo hot!! I love him so much. I hope he doesn't leave the show either. Maybe thou instead of making him such a "Ladies" man on the show they can make him have sex with one of the guys. Like a totally freak accident. Just do what so many other men who fuck guys and regret it the next day say..No MORE TEQUILA!!!

I think that TR needs to put himself first, and if he feels he needs to quit to be happy, I support that. Not everyone is a fighter. And maybe he feels that this isn't his fight. I will be sad to see George leave Grey's, but a boy's gotta do what a boy's gotta do.

I'm all about T.R. being happy to, but he's an idiot. Fans on another msg board were calling him selfish. I don't know about all that, but if everyone quit as soon as someone called them the "f" word, the "n" word, a bitch or whore, we wouldn't have Oprah, Tiger Woods, Obama, Hilary Clinton...
T.R.'s a child. I get your point, but being that passive really doesn't help anyone.

TR seems like a nice sweet guy and I like him, but you have to have a thick skin to be in the entertainment industry. Seems he's letting Isaiah runn him off of GA and that's unfortunate.
