Hours after Paris Hilton was sent home under house arrest Thursday, the judge who put her in jail for violating her reckless-driving probation ordered her into court to determine whether she should be put back behind bars.
Hilton must report to court at 9 a.m. Friday, Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini told The Associated Press.
Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer issued his order after the city attorney filed a petition late Thursday afternoon questioning whether Sheriff Lee Baca should be held in contempt of court for releasing Hilton on Thursday morning.
“What transpired here is outrageous,” county Supervisor Don Knabe told The Associated Press, adding that he received more than 400 angry e-mails and hundreds more phone calls from around the country.
Hilton’s return home gives the impression of “celebrity justice being handed out,” he said.
Sauer himself had expressed his unhappiness with Hilton’s release before Delgadillo asked him to return her to court. When he sentenced Hilton to jail last month, he ruled specifically that she could not serve her sentence at home under electronic monitoring.

Bob Barker, long-time host of “The Price Is Right,” taped his last episode of the game show on Wednesday. Barker, 83, hosted the program for 35 years and has been a television personality for more than half a century.
Barker told the studio audience after the taping of the show was completed: “I thank you, thank you, thank you for inviting me into your home for more than 50 years. I’m truly grateful, and I hope that all of you have enjoyed your visit to ‘The Price Is Right.’”

During a taping of The Late Show with David Letterman on Wednesday, Richie expressed trepidation that her DUI charge might land her some hard time.
“I’m just keeping my fingers crossed,” she told David Letterman. “Of course, I’m scared also, but, you know, I’m willing to face whatever consequences come my way, and I take responsibility for what I’ve done.”

She was arrested on December 11 and admitted that she had been smoking marijuana and taken the prescription painkiller Vicodin, but no drugs were found on her or in the car, police said.Letterman asked Richie when she’ll learn her fate.“Probably the end of this month,” she responded.
The talk show host then wished her the best, saying, “I hope you don’t have to go to jail.”

The National Enquirer is reporting that Britney has a little thing going with her drug counselor John Sundahl. He’s coming out and saying it’s complete bull poo. Here’s what the Enquirer said and John’s response.
