Isaiah Washington Just Keeps Going and Going and Going
Isaiah Washington is at it again!!! And, since I have a gossip blog, I feel like I should cover his nonsense. He's going to cause me to go into early retirement. Isaiah had an interview with Newsweek titled "Diary of an Angry Black Man" Here are some excerpts:
"I said a lot of negative things that were never reported, but there was one word that caught everyone's attention, particularly someone who wasn't even in the room with us. It was a fight between two men that shouldn't have happened. But someone heard the booming voice of a black man and got really scared and that was the beginning of the end for me. I see that now, but I didn't then."
"If a black man can't get forgiveness in this country, when so many other people like Robert Downey Jr. and the governor of California get second and third chances ⦠I think that says a lot about race and this country."
My mother had several cross-dressing friends who she sometimes referred to with names I'd never use, but she didn't know any better. There was no hate, just lack of awareness."
"That's what's hurt me so much with all this. I was doing what I'm doing in Africa for yearsâ"before Angelina and Bono. But I've worked at homeless shelters for years and given money to make sure people knew they didn't have to be hungry or the street. "Well, it didn't help me on the set that I was a black man who wasn't a mush-mouth Negro walking around with his head in his hands all the time. I didn't speak like I'd just left the plantation and that can be a problem for people sometime."
Whew!!!! Considering that Grey's Anatomy's creator Shonda Rhimes is an African American female who defended Isaiah and said she was offended that people thought it was simple to just replace a black male actor, his statements are a slap in the face to her and African Americans everywhere - because they don't make any sense!!!
I think Isaiah would have kept his job if he didn't grab the microphone at the Golden Globe awards and say, "I didn't call T.R. a faggot!" The cast was trying to move past it and no one asked his dumb ass at that moment! Shonda was telling the press how excited she was to win her award when he acted a fool.
I wish I could tell you that all of this would end, but Isaiah's going to be on Larry King Live and you know he's going to continue to spew more nonsense. I feel SO sorry for him. He just keeps on making himself look worse and worse and worse. Amazing!

I read Isaiah claimed race is why he was fired. It was an 'R' word but not race. RATINGS
If they'd let TR go and kept Isaiah, ratings would've dropped. No exec wants that.
I think Isaiah needs to stfu. My friend and I find it somewhat ironic that a minority called someone a faggot...

Mr. Gyllenhaal, the word assume has the rootword "ass" in it for a reason. It's because when you assume things, you run the risk of making an ass out of yourself. For the record, I am black and I was one of the few blacks who didn't think Imus should have been fired either. The man apologized. I accept that. I'm over it. Done. I don't hold grudges. People say shit every day that they regret. I believe in forgiveness and giving second chances. We're all human here.I don't agree that Isaiah was the one who turned this into the huge ordeal that it is. The media did.This was a situation that could have and should have been handled better by everyone involved. Not just Isaiah. You don't agree with me, fine. That's cool. You are entitled to your opinion Mr. Gyllenhaal.

They are relentless because he wont shut the F up bebe!! I mean okay he called someone a faggot, big deal to you right! Are you a faggot? What if you were black and called you the N word? Would that piss you off? I guess if you weren't black or you were a total tard then it wouldn't! The problem with him is he has turned this whole situation into a huge ordeal and now he is using the race card, which he thinks is to his advantage!! I am here to say he is wrong. Who says the word negro except rednecks who have three eyes and a black person trying to gain sympathy from the african american community!! I think the guy has every right to be pissed off and should speak out. If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything. People want him to keep quiet, but why should he?Nobody shut up when they were calling him a hate monger and a homophobe. His name and reputation have been slandered and dragged through the mud. Now, when he mentions the word "black", everybody gets uncomfortable, but I think a lot of what he is saying is the truth. He couldn't catch a break or get any forgiveness. He caught hell from every direction, yet people like Paris Hilton can be caught ON TAPE using the "n" AND "f" words freely and it get's little if any press time. Where was the huge media uproar then? They were relentless with Isaiah.
