Vanessa's rep confirms the truth.
There are already rumors that Disney has given Vanessa the boot and hired Adrienne Bailon from Disney's "The Cheetah Girls" to play Gabriella.
But her rep just issued a statement to In Touch, saying, "Oh my, that story is so 100 percent not true. Vanessa's not an 'employee' of Disney, there's nothing to be fired from."
Vanessa Hudgens' squeaky-clean image just got a makeover. On her Myspace page, dozens of fans are writing in to voice support and disdain.
One fan writes, "Keep your head up!" and others write that something so private should never be splashed across the web. But some have less sympathy and are vowing to never watch her on television again, blasting that she is a bad role model for young girls.
The Associated Press also reports,
The Disney Channel (part of the Walt Disney Co.) denied a published report that Hudgens will be dropped from the upcoming feature film "High School Musical 3." That movie is in development and negotiations with the stars are incomplete.
UPDATE: Vanessa has issued an apology:
"I want to apologize to my fans, whose support and trust means the world to me. I am embarrassed over this situation and regret having ever taken these photos. I am thankful for the support of my family and friends."

Word on the street is that Adrienne and Vanessa have the same agent, and there's some serious beef at William Morris. Vanessa is no Beyonce, she's NOT irreplaceable…she's got another thing coming.

Oh please, she put those pics out herself. Of course she can't get fired, but Disney can ask her to get lost. Somewhere in her rep's poorly worded statement she seems to skip over that fact. Besides, it only makes sense that Disney would replace that skank with a classy broad like Adrienne. The Cheetah Girls paved the way for those HSM kids anyway.

I know that what happened was bad, but don't you think it would be wierd to see Adrienne (who I adore) playing a part we've already been acustomed to for years? I agree it would be a good idea to kick her out, but would it really feel right to have Zac Efron kissing ADRIENNE? Nikki Blonski was enough...

Vanessa is the best actress out there for the part of Gabriella Montez. Nobody could EVER take her place there. It would NOT be the same without V. I am sooo glad that Disney did NOT fire her. Vanessa, I am behind you 100%! Keep your head up high and this will pass!

heres one thing .... vanessa hudgens is not the only person who takes nude pictures... but think about it.. she was on a disney channel movie and by this time millions of little children definetly saw her naked! come on ! what do you think this would mean to their parents? well .. vanessa's world doesnt only revolve around her fans.. soooo taking the picture of her naked might not be a big deal for many ppl .. but the fact that it was spread all over the internet was a little over the edge! And by this Vanessa is getting called inapropriate names.. because she wasnt the person everyone thought she was ! so I guess vanessa might be shocked! cuz when she took that picture she thought it would only be seen by zac efron"costar" but imagine how poor vanessa felt when she knew it was all over the world!!!!!! wow that my be shocking! sooo now many ppl understand the whole being fired from the disney channel consept!

okay, so i agree with what vanessa did was totally and completly wrong. she sort of blew her chances but then agian, what right does disney have for her personal life? im not the biggest fan of vanessa but i really never had anything against her, she just wasnt one of my favorites! i honestly feel sorry for her, and i hope that she can somehow stay with HSM because i cannot see anyone replacing her as gabriella. it would be too weird.
also, i do think that what she did was a bad example towards little kids and how they might respond to it. but, if you really think about it.. how many LITTLE kids who look up to her will really find out about it? i know when i was little i didnt know anything that was going on with my favorite stars!
we will just have to wait and see what goes on.

I think that it was wrong for vannessa to do that because a lot of people look up to her. now seeing her naked has ruined her reputation. she should not have taken a picture naked. it is disturbing now that her picture id all over the internet but what is more disturbin is that she was going to send it to zac efron.

I dont think any1 cn tke d place of vanessa playin in high school musical. If those photos were for her own boyfriend then no1 shud have a problem wit it...dnt wuwi vanessa i got ur bk! xxx
