Britney Spears Cried Backstage Over Her VMA Performance!

Following a dismal performance of Spears' new single, "Gimme More," Spears was spotted "crying badly [backstage]. She's devastated. She was really nervous and knows she screwed up."

The singer may have had an inkling of what was to come prior to her performance: A VMA insider tells Us that Spears fired her hairstylist right before going on. I don't know if this was true but this was not the right time for Britney to perform! She should have waited until she knew the words and she should have performed on Jay Leno or SNL. The MTV hype for her performance was over the top.

Britney also requested that Sarah Silverman not make fun of her kids, but she did anyway, deeply upsetting Britney.

And finally, The Palms Casino sucks ass! They canceled Brit's plans to do magic with Criss Angel for insurance purposes. Britney was supposed to disappear and re-appear through several floating mirrors, but Palms thought it was too risky. As if people in Vegas don't know how to put on a show!

The reason Britney's performance was so….interesting was because MTV and The Palms MADE her CHANGE IT LAST MINUTE! that is why 1. no magic via Cris Angel.. and 2. she looked out of it and confused…. i mean look at her in the practice video…. she didn't do ANY of that in the actual performance.

It makes sense! and she looks pissed … which ALSO makes sense because anyone would be pissed if they had to change their performance LAST MINUTE! and NO i dont think she messed up because of what Sara Silverman said… I was at the VMAs and Sara talked AFTER Brit performed!
