It was HARD for me to pick the winners of POTP's Veronica Mars contest.

I have thousands of phantom readers, and it's really nice to hear from some of you via a contest entry. :) I can't wait to give away more prizes! I have a handful of stuff to give out right now and I'll try to get Snarky to make some giveaway posts tomorrow...

I am extremely impressed with you all. Many of you are writers and may not even know it. Thank you for taking the time out to send really well-articulated, insightful, detailed and lengthy email 'essays' about why you like Veronica Mars. Your entries by the dozens really made my day. It, like, lets me know people visit POTP.

My least favorite "rapper" is at it again!

Lance Bass and 50 Cent (real name: Curtis James Jackson III) are releasing books at the same time, and even held their launch parties on the same night.

At 50's party in New York's Philippe Tuesday, he told the New York Daily News that Bass better watch his back. "He doesn't stand a chance," the rapper said as he promoted his coffee-table book, 50 x 50. Later that night, at Bass's own NYC launch party at hotspot Azza for his new tell-all book, Out of Sync: A Memoir, the former ‘N Sync member â€" who came out in 2006 â€" hit back at the rapper.

"50's going down, that's all I have to say," he joked. "50, I don't want to playa-hate, but there's a lot that my book has [that yours doesn't]. Including, Bass says, two things in particular: "I'm pretty sure he doesn't have any relationships with guys in that book. And I'm pretty sure he doesn't have any space training, either."

50 added, he's been in this situation before. "With me, everything's a competition, so I bet you the end of next week, I'll be moving more copies than him," 50 said. "This is the same competition â€" this is Kanye West and 50 Cent all over again!"

Gawd, do I really have to buy Lance Bass' book now so I can make Fiddy shut the fuck up?! Team Lance! :)

Poor thing! She'll get over it, but going nude is one of those things that sounds good at the time, then afterwards not so much. Nat was already pretty nude in Closer as a stripper. And why announce that you're embarrassed before the film drops, drawing even more attention to your crotch?

A misdemeanor hit-and-run charge was dismissed against Britney Spears in a Van Nuys, Calif., court Thursday.

She also pleaded not guilty to another charge of driving without a valid California driver's license.

The singer, represented by her lawyer J. Michael Flanagan, did not personally attend the hearing.

Kim Robard-Rifkin, who owns the 1999 Mercedes-Benz station wagon that Spears hit on Aug. 6 in a San Fernando Valley parking lot, had been paid approximately $1,000 for damages.

Robard-Rifkin "is very sympathetic toward Britney and hopes the best for her," said Flanagan, who delivered payment to the woman Tuesday.

Spears was ordered to appear in court on Nov. 26 regarding the license issue. Despite the pop star obtaining a California license on Oct. 2, the L.A. City Attorneys are apparently seeking a probation term and fine for Spears, according to Flanagan. Even though she has now obtained her license, "that doesn't account for when she drove without it," City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan previously said.

A statue of slain rapper Tupac Shakur has been vandalized in Georgia. Vandals defaced the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Stone Mountain, and tied a noose around the neck of the bronze statue on Saturday morning.

Tupac's mother Afeni branded the perpetrators "ignorant."

She tells Allhiphop.com, "We thank everyone for their prayers and support. Although our hearts are temporarily in pain, our spirits have already forgiven the perpetrators. Hate comes in all colors and genders therefore we will use this act of hate and ignorance to bring our community together and to pray for the healing of those who harbor such feelings."

The attacks are being investigated as hate crimes by the De Kalb County Sheriff's Office. One person has been arrested.

Shakur was shot dead in Las Vegas in September 1996.

Photographers snapped a package of Provigil, a prescription drug used to treat excessive daytime sleepiness (and narcolepsy), in Britney Spears' open purse as she made her way to her first co-parenting class with Kevin Federline Wednesday at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

"Unlike a traditional stimulant with side effects such as hyperactivity and inattentiveness, the primary effect of this medication is only to help keep you from falling asleep," Dr. Mark Milstein, a New York neurologist.

"Somebody who is living a celebrity lifestyle, who frequently has to be up very early one day and then very late the next, could develop very disordered sleep patterns" Provigil cannot be abused as a drug, the doctor says. Spears is currently under court order to take two random drug tests per week.

"This medication won't give you a ‘high,' like a stimulant would," Dr. Milstein adds.

My mom and sister had to travel for a family event and they got back Monday night. My mom's flight was delayed, so she missed her transportation back to her house, so I had to drive a few hours to take her home. On the drive home at around 11 p.m., I saw three huge glowing fires.

Then we finally got home. When we looked behind our house, it looked like one of the fires wasn't too far away. By this time it was 2 a.m., we decided to pack up just in case we were told to evacuate. We packed up the house, then we went to my aunt's house (she was out of town at the time). The fire was really close to her house. When my sister asked the only lady she saw on my aunt's street what was going on, the lady said that they were told to evacuate at 5 p.m. - my sister and mom were evacuating at 2 a.m. At 2 a.m., the fire was literally across the street and the nearby street was closed and blocked off.

The winds cooperated by the grace of God and my aunt and parents' houses were saved. There's no doubt in my mind that if the Santa Ana winds did not subside that night, our houses may not be still standing.

I'm okay and my family's okay, but I can not say the same for the thousands of people who have lost their homes. Thank you to those who commented. I really appreciate it.
