Dave Chappelle did a 6 hour and 12 minute comedy act this weekend at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood which breaks his original record of 6 hours and 3 minutes. Dave had caught wind that the mediocre Dane Cook was going to try and break his original record. Oh please! Nobody is going to sit through Dane's crap for 6 hours unless he's paying them. Hey, I hear Tara Reid's available. ;)
"Dave was determined because he recently heard that Dane Cook was planning on trying to break his record," said Jamie Masada, owner of the Laugh Factory in Hollywood. Chappelle joked that he'd been studying Spanish in Ecuador so he could return to the U.S. and speak the language properly. Asked by one audience member to cite his most embarrassing moment, Chappelle responded, "Other than being called a crackhead by Newsweek?"

Six hours is like 14 episodes worth of shows. Return to TV, Dave! We miss you. ;)

The man is a genius. He could certainly have done 24h but the club doesn't stay open that long...

I absolutely love Dave and miss his show so much! I hope he starts touring the smaller comedy venues!
