Britney Spears Under Evaluation

britney-spears-in-hospital-picture.jpg

After Britney Spears reckless driving and "downhill behavior," her shrink felt that she should be committed to UCLA Medical Center by calling the police.Britney's intervention was premeditated. The police were in on it. The original plan was for the cops and paramedics to kidnap Britney the night before. (I feel like saying kidnap to spice things up).

  • Cops even used code to minimize craziness in transporting Britney to the hospital. Over the police radio, she was referred to as "The Package."
  • Britney Spears is on a three-day psychiatric hold at the UCLA Medical Center.
  • We're told there is a "good possibility" that it will be extended to 14 days. We've also learned there have been several parallel attempts to get Britney on a 5150. Her lawyers, Anne Kiley and Tara Scott, secured a new psychiatrist late last week -- he's the one who triggered the 5150 last night.
  • At the same time, we're told Britney's mother, father and brother have been "working closely with the LAPD for weeks" to get her back in for psychiatric care. There is now a dogfight between Britney's family and Sam Lutfi over who will make medical decisions, however, that fight is now put on hold because the judge now makes the call.
  • Once the psychiatric hold ends, something has to give.
  • Britney's parents have won round one in the tug of war with Sam Lutfi. We're told the doctors at UCLA are now "fully cooperating" with the parents in the treatment of Britney Spears, however, the war probably is not over until a judge signs an order as to who has control.
  • By the way, the men in white coats are giving props to LAPD's "SMART Unit" which specializes in mental health cases for coordinating the events that went down last night and early this morning.
  • UPDATE: Sam Lutfi left the hospital before 4:00 AM. Papa Jamie just left.

I think this is all a positive step in the right direction, I hope! I just want Brit Brit to get better because she's talented and she has potential and she needs to regain her position as the princess of pop, as if that will ever happen again.

I have a sister who is bipolar, which did not manifest until her mid twenties, which is common.
My thought is that Britney needs help to just survive life, much less life in the public eye. It's an ugly, sad, situation in the private sector; imagine the pressure of the fishbowl world of celebrity. Yeah, we've watched, either voluntarily or not so much, as she's everywhere right now. That is part of the problem. The tabloid need for insatiable voyuerism is getting out of hand. When would it stop? A little teasing at someone's misfortunes of being stupid enough to fall down drunk on a sidewalk does not equate to watching a fellow human being disintegrate in the flash of the public. It's sad.
God grant her some clarity and peace.

Still enjoy watching the foibles of the famous, Joy, just not when it crosses the line so far.

Glad you exhibit some humanness in relation to the vindicitiveness some are spouting.
    Cool.

Thank you, Sue!!!! :) I completely agree with your informative comment.

Sometimes people thank me for having a heart. I think it's strange. Every blogger should even though it's the filth and cruel commentary that drives traffic to some other fat blogger's website. Naming no names.

I totally agree with both of you. I know there are times I go on a little far with Britney but in the end I don't like watching someone deteriorate like this and want them to get help. Especially when it's a mental issue that they cannot help on their own.

    :)
