The John Mayer and Perez Hilton Kiss, Makeout Scandal

Okay all, I will do my best to cover this without writing a novel.

On Thursday, March 27th John Mayer wrote a lengthy introspective blog about celebrities, growth, self-consciousness, superficiality, and his quest to be a better person. John's mistake, however, was that he had a itty, bitty blurb where he said the following in his blog:

This is about a young guy who maintains a celebrity blog that subsists on tearing other people down but who has wrestled with a lifelong battle for acceptance as a gay man.

BIG MISTAKE!

Although Perez Hilton makes millions of dollars insulting and exposing celebrities, John Mayer saying that Perez has a blog that tears people down and he battles for acceptance as a gay man was THE WORST insults of all possible insults. You can't insult "the queen of all media" like THAT!!! Yes, John's simple non-revelation was a cause for a media blitz war.

Next, Perez blogs on his website that he made out with John Mayer at Stereo Nightclub last year, deets via In Touch mag:

Perez tells In Touch that he spent an intimate New Year's Eve with John Mayer in December 2006 at New York club Stereo. The self-proclaimed Queen of All Media, 30, says, "There was chemistry between John and I," adding, "He sang in my ear. It turned me on."

As then-girlfriend Jessica Simpson watched, "John said, ‘I'm going to outdo Perez tonight' and kissed me for five minutes," claims Perez. The blogger says he's telling his story now because "I feel like John has taunted me in his recent blogs."

Perez admits he has a crush on John, but insists this is not a ploy for attention. "My friends have encouraged me to come forward and talk about it openly," Perez says. "Last week I wrote on my blog, ‘Hey John, we will always have that night at Stereo' â€" and this is what I was referring to," says Perez.

Perez took a lie detector test where he passed every single question EXCEPT when asked:

Are you speaking out to get publicity?

Perez: NO

So now you've got the gist. What I find particularly disturbing about this is not that John Mayer made out with Perez, but that Perez has not only blogged about it, but he went on Ryan Seacrest's radio show and talked about it, as well as talking with In Touch, Life & Style and Us magazine. It's cruel.

This will not ruin John's career. If he makes good music, people will buy it. He's fine and he'll move on. It does suck that John was only supporting Perez by attending his party and this is how Perez thanks him?

The person I feel the most sorry for is Perez. Not only will this scandal haunt him eternally because many celebs won't trust him at all anymore. But he was obviously extremely hurt by what John said. Maybe he thought the two would spark some kind of undercover romance? Maybe he's cherished those kisses every single night? Perez has exclusively premiered some of John's songs. He must feel so used. They were friends. This is horribly sad for the both of them.

More than anything else, I hope Perez finds inner peace. No matter how thin or fat he may be, he still looks like a fucking pig with his pig snout and pasty, pink skin.

I don't think Perez struggles to be accepted as a gay man, he struggles to be accepted as a person. After all, Perez has to write about others or else no one cares about him. And he has to update 7 days a week, and constantly post "breaking news." If he's not blogging, he's a nobody. That's a huge burden, despite the thick paychecks.

John, I could care less if you made out with Perez; and without a doubt, many have lost all respect for Mario Lavandiera (aka Perez). He is the one who has made himself look like a backstabbing, childish, angry and bitter person. Perez makes most gossip bloggers feel ashamed of themselves.
