Mary Carey’s Still Hitting The Bottle

Former adult star Mary Carey was treated by Dr. Drew Pinsky on the recently concluded VH1 program for alcoholism. But after downing a glass of wine at Midtown hot spot Johnny Utah’s last week, a restaurant staffer recognized her from the show and cut her off. Questioned about her sobriety, Carey admitted to the occasional tipple. But the ex-porn queen, who went mainstream with help from appearances on the Howard Stern, Jay Leno, Bill O’Reilly and Jon Stewart shows, says she is not drinking to excess.

“The best thing about being sober is remembering,” she chirped to us. “Each morning I wake up and I remember my friends, if I had sex the night before, and new people that I met.”

Why does the restaurant employee feel like it’s their right to cut off a star from drinking just because they saw them on a rehab show? That’s kinda fucked up! We all knew she wasn’t going to stay completely sober and she still does have a drink here and there. She was a porn slut for crying out loud and people wanna tell her not to have a drink? As much cock as she’s had in her films, she deserves a drink here and there.
