After her recent sensational Blender article, Keys has had to do some pointed damage control, explaining that she's not a government-hating, media-bashing conspiracy theorist. She was just "misinterpreted."Right. Because there are so many ways to interpret the quote "Gangsta rap is a ploy to convince black people to kill each other"

To clarify that statement�"what I was saying at the interview�"the term gangsta rap was so over-sloganized during that time... and that in so many ways, everyday people, as well as the government, could have done so much more to really obliterate and eradicate things that were going on in the community at that time that forced the artists to talk about and discuss so strongly what they saw, what they lived with every day.

As much as people are talking trash about Alicia, little do they understand how many journalists write their articles. They not only edit the hell out of their interviewee's statements, but they probe and encourage you to make statements like Alicia made.

The journalist who wrote the damn article could have said the same thing first, prompting Alicia to say what she said. I wasn't there when Alicia held her interview, but I know how a lot of journalists work. I work with many of them who live to expose dirt.

Whether you agree with Alicia or not, I applaud her stupidity for speaking out like she did.

Gwyneth Paltrow reveals in the May issue of Vogue that she battled post-partum depression after welcoming her second child, son Moses, in 2006."I didn't know I had it until after it was over," the actress, 35, says. "I just didn't know what was wrong with me."

She suspects her depression stemmed from scaling back on her usual pre-baby treatments like acupuncture.

"I felt really out of my body," Paltrow says after giving birth. "I felt really disconnected. I felt really down ... I felt pessimistic."

Paltrow also scaled her career back to focus on mommyhood. (Daughter Apple turns 4 in May; son Moses is 2.)

The actress �" who returns to the big screen in May's Iron Man �" has found her comfort level tackling both, her mother Blythe Danner recently told Usmagazine.com.

"She didn't set out to be a movie star �" she set out to be a wonderful actress," Danner said.

"But motherhood is very important to her, as it was to me, and I think she's finding balance."

58-year-old Emilio Diaz, a popular resident of Seal Beach, Calif., recently developed the flu which then turned into pneumonia. We hear his death was "shocking" as Emilio was in "terrific health." Diaz is currently filming her upcoming flick "My Sister's Keeper." A source on the set tells us production on the film was shut down today. Emilio was a second generation Cuban-American who worked as a foreman for an oil company. He had a bit part in his daughter's film "There's Something About Mary" as "Jailbird." A rep for Cameron did not return our request for comment.

I may not be a big Cameron fan, but it sucks when you lose one of your parents so I feel for her. RIP Mr. Diaz.

Paris Hilton's parents, Rick and Kathy Hilton are just as in love with Benji Madden as Paris is. In fact, they've gone as far as saying they would give Benji their blessing if he wanted to marry Paris. What? Those two skanks have only been dating a couple months and your pushing her into marriage? Anyway, by the sounds of it, they feel Paris have found the perfect man.

"He's the perfect example of ‘don't judge a book by its cover'," her dad Rick Hilton told me. "He's polite, well-manneredâ€"even calls me sir! We love him like family already. Benji doesn't drink, doesn't smoke and is a healthy vegan!" Mom Kathy added: "He's changed her lifeâ€"and I really think she's genuinely in love for the first time. He's so good to her and for her. We couldn't be happier for them. This has honestly become the real thing."

Benji obviously didn't change Paris that much if she's going on the radio talking about Kim Kardashian's cottage cheese ass.

Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon was on Good Morning America yesterday and spoke of her breast cancer battle she went through in 2006. After going to the doctor for a routine mammogram, her doc gave her the news that she had breast cancer.

Even though Nixon admits to feeling "scared … I was very cognizant of it," she said. "If it's going to happen, this is the best way for it to happen - that it's found so early, and we can just get right on it." Nixon �" who said she kept her diagnosis private because "I didn't want paparazzi at the hospital" �" revealed that her mother had also overcome breast cancer.

"As the daughter of a breast cancer survivor," knowing my personal risk made me more aware and more empowered when I faced my own diagnosis," she said.

It looks like Paula was freshly botoxed for the Country Music Awards but that spider dress is ridiculous! It would be hot on someone like Elvira because the old bitch dresses like it's Halloween every day of the year, but not on anyone else.

Paris Hilton was on KLUC-FM in Vegas yesterday morning for the Chet Buchanan and the Morning Zoo show and was asked if she would rather have Jessica Simpson's boobs or Kim Kardashian's ass.

Paris called Kim's ass disgusting and said her butt looks like cottage cheese stuffed in a trash bag.

I think it looks more like two midgets fighting in her pockets, but what do I know? Where does Paris get off talking about someone else's ass anyway? She looks like she's carrying two leaking water balloons on her butt. It's all droopy and there's no hump to it what so ever.

Paris later called Kim and apologized to her for saying her ass looked like cottage cheese so everything is cool now. Paris is still a wonk eyed walking herpe wart so it all works out.

Nelly and Fergie do it up in this new video for Nelly's single 'Party People' off his new album Brass Knuckles which hits stores June 4th. It sounds like a typical summer time Nelly hit to me. :)
