I’m Going to Europe! July 4th, 2008
Hello all,
Happy 4th of July, baby! I hope you make the very best of your day in whatever ways that you can. For the next five weeks, you can still keep poppin’ on poponthepop.com, however, I won’t be blogging at all during that time because I’m going to Europe.
Going to Europe has been a lifelong fantasy of mine, and my trip is entirely random. My friend works for a travel agency and she called me up, “Wanna go to Europe?” I spontaneously decided to go for it and gave her the green light without contemplating if my blog would get in the way and prevent me from going.
Thanks to fierce gossip bloggers who generously offered to blog for me, I’m able to go buckwild overseas. I have a lineup of four bloggers taking the helm over the next five weeks. There will be different styles on POTP which is very exciting.
I’ll be going to eight countries and 12 cities over the course of 30 days, and since I’m taking a month off, trust me, I won’t be putting it to waste. I plan on living it up.
I’ve been SO busy shopping and meeting up with as many friends and family that I can, its been very moving being able to see how many people are making time in their schedules to hang out. Trips bring folk together. I’ve also been hitting the gym every day after updating POTP and on the weekends for months! I finally feel bikini ready. 
And I’ve also been saving for a while. I never knew I would get my lard ass off the couch and work out so hard for so long and socialize with friends while remaining on a budget. Saving is hawt, so I highly recommend taking trips because you’ll do things in preparation for the trip that you never thought possible.
I just want to emphasize that each and every one of you has made this trip possible. POTP is funding my vacay, obviously. Over 3,000 posts of mine later, you’re the reason why I do this and you keep me motivated.
Sorry for not injecting any humor into this post. My gratitude runs deep and I’m moved by the opportunities that each and every one of you has made possible and I rather pass on being cheesy, yes, only this once.
And last, I beg you to PLEASE visit this site at least once daily while I’m gone. You can even minimize the POTP tab on your computer and go to other sites if you’d like. I fear that my traffic will go to hell in the absence of my blogging, monitoring and promotion. Please don’t force me to have to sell my cooter to pay rent when I get back. My cooter’s not worth that much. Trust. I’ll be a horrible lay if I’m not at least making Ashley Dupre funds, I’d suck literally and figuratively.
POTP will be turning 2 years old shortly before I return, so there’s more mush on the way when I get back. In summary, each and every one of you has made my life much better. Thank you! And I’ll see you in August.
