High School Musical’s East High power couple (played by real-life couple Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens) talk about saying goodbye in the first official trailer for High School Musical 3: Senior Year, which premiered today on Disney.com.
Senior Year is the musical franchise’s first installment slated for the big screen, and it looks like the HSM team has amped up the action.
The film follows Troy, Gabriella and the rest of the Wildcats through their senior year as they prepare for life after graduation. The trailer features all of the franchise’s favorite moments: flashy musical numbers, basketball court dance sequences, and a romantic duet for our favorite East High couple.
Plus, a bit of romantic intrigue: Gabriella tells Troy, “I’m a lot better at saying goodbye than you.” His response: “Are you saying goodbye?”
“We wanted it to end at East High,” Efron told PEOPLE of coming back for a third High School Musical movie. “There are a lot of questions, everyone wants to know where we leave our futures, and this is a great way to leave the story.”
Featuring 10 new original songs, High School Musical 3: Senior Year is due out in theaters Oct. 24.

Everyone thought Angelina Jolie was pregnant with twin daughters. But, she actually had a son and a daughter! Her and Brad Pitt just love to keep quiet as people speculate away. Congrats to the gorgeous, happy couple!
Brad Pitt welcomed the mayor of Nice and told him, “I’m the happiest father ever.”
The twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, were born Saturday and the mayor came by the next day to sign their birth certificates.
According to the paper, the babies spent Saturday night in Jolie’s room and she took care of them by herself.
The actress’s obstetrician, Dr. Michel Sussmann, also said that Knox and Vivienne – who weighed in at 5.03 and 5 lbs., respectively – are in excellent health, but they do need to gain some weight. He told Nice-Matin that Jolie may remain at the hospital another six or seven days while the newborns grow.
It looks like Heidi Montag’s collection for Anchor Blue has been successful; those darn kids will buy just about anything, won’t they? That other star of the Hills is still trying to one up her old BFF Lauren Conrad with her own line of affordable clothes. Okay, can someone explain to me what’s up with the Miss USA pageant contestants? For the second year in a row, Miss USA slips and falls at the Miss Universe pageant! Ooh, Trump is gonna be pissed. Crystal Stewart was didn’t get too far out on stage before she took a tumble and fell backwards, making our country look completely stable in front of, well, the rest of the world.
