I have mixed feelings about eloping. Getting married is a private matter, but it’s pretty damn rude to shut out your friends and family. But, I also feel like a lot of couples that elope or have the small weddings actually last. They’re more concerned with the marriage than turning their wedding into a Broadway-like spectacle.
Can you believe Jewel said this? - “I’ll try to make our lives the best piece of art I’ve ever done.” She’s so romantic and cute! I expect her to get preggers by next year if she isn’t knocked up already.
Held at The Cove Atlantis resort in the Bahamas, the very private affair included just two guests: Jewel’s former keyboard player Jason Freese, who officiated (the couple found out he had been ordained online) and his wife Amy.
At sunset, as Otis Redding’s “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long” played from their private cabana, Jewel, 34, (in Monique Lhuillier) met her groom (in jeans and cowboy boots) in the sand to recite their handwritten vows. “I said that I’ll try to make our lives the best piece of art I’ve ever done,” she said.
Murray, 38, secretly proposed to the singer on her birthday, May 23, and the couple decided to elope since “we feel that’s what marriage is – just me and her,” he said.
After their “I dos” the newlyweds called their families to break their happy news and enjoyed a surprise fireworks display from the resort. “It felt,” said the groom, “like we were the only ones in the world.”

What does the “greatest Olympian of all time” do to unwind?

“Planet Earth, the documentary, is pretty much all I’ve been watching,” he told reporters of the Emmy-winning BBC and Discovery series. (At the last Olympics in Athens, Phelps got pumped up by watching the hockey flick Miracle over and over.)
“It probably helps him,” Phelps’s longtime coach Bob Bowman said of the TV routine. “Michael likes to relax before a swim.”
Bowman also broke down Phelps’s day for reporters. “At eight thirty we were on a bus to here [to the National Aquatics Center], then we did some stretching and warm-ups for thirty to forty minutes,” he said. “Then he puts on his suit and does more warm-ups. Then he swims.”
After each race, it’s simply rinse and repeat. “Then he’ll eat, take a nap, and then come back on the bus and do it all again, usually twice a day,” he explained. “He’s always done these things, really.”
Phelps, 23, has already won five gold medals – with five world-record times. He has his sights set on three more races in his quest for a historic eight golds. On deck: Friday’s 200-meter individual medley, Saturday’s 100-meter butterfly and Sunday’s 4×100-meter medley relay.

hey everyone..
i just had to share something that came up today and it made me feel a bit sick to my stomach.
so, here’s the visual…
me and my friend Patrick walking into a store, and two paparazzi come up out of nowhere (like usual) and start throwing questions at me…
one of them being, “Hey Lindsay, what do you have to say about people commenting on your sisters implants?”
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my response simply was, “Did you really just ask me that? She is a 14 year old girl, and you are a pedophile!”
i was caught out of nowhere so i didn’t really come up with the proper response at the time.. there’s many other things that i felt like saying, but why give it to a random guy with a camera so that he can make money!
All i am trying to say is, is that, i was raised with a wonderful family surrounding me, of course we have our ups and downs, but all in all my mother taught us to appreciate what we have been given. Nor would she ever encourage, or allow a 14 year old child to alter her body.
i am not judging people that do, but i am just saying that its not something that my family finds necessary to do, especially when you’re not even fully developed yet!
It is hard enough being 14 years old and you have enough insecurities to begin with, then add being in the public eye…
i just find it really disconcerting that people have to focus on the negative and that some people are sooooo bored with their own lives that they need to manifest lies to hurt another person.
in a more positive light…
i got some great clothes from alexander wang and i miss samantha cuz she’s out of town
have a wonderful day everyone~
til next time..
xx LL
