Britney Spears’ Body is Lookin’ Good

I loathe the obsession with celebrities’ figures more than anythang in the world, y’all! It’s really over the top. You lose weight, you get a mag cover. You gain weight, you have a tabloid cover. It’s ridic! But, one must give credit where credit is due and the mags love running gut, cellulite and bloated Britney pics, therefore, she deserves her moment.

Britney lost weight because she’s not eating any sugar, not even fruit juice, and she’s on a 1,200 calorie/day diet.

I had a friend who lost 100 pounds by not eating sugar and I’ve been on a sugar free diet on and off for the last six years. But it’s hard!

Sometimes the only sugar I have is in mixed drinks. It’s gets a little tough to remain sugar free when you go out to drink, but it’s pretty easy to get used to actually with all the sugar free foods. But I honestly doubt Britney even eats those. All I know is Britney’s weight loss is inspiring.

The 26-year-old pop princess showed off her bangin’ new body in late July.

On eating right:

“I’m the healthiest I’ve been all my life. My diet has a lot to do with my getting into shape. I have no sugar. I don’t eat fruit or even fruit juice because of the sugar. I eat chicken and salmon and rice. I eat avocados. I’ll have egg whites for breakfast and sometimes turkey burgers for lunch. I try to do just 1,200 calories a day. It may sound like it’s not much, but it’s actually a lot of food if you eat the right things.”

On cutting out a guilty pleasure of hers:

“Frappuccinos are gone. (laughs) I do still drink coffee, but just with Equal.”

On working out five days/week at an outside gym and sometimes at the fully-equipped gym in her house:

“I was working with male trainers and recently switched to a woman because she knew how to lean me out better.”

There is no pill or crash diet that can replace hard work. I love that Brit Brit’s not just like, ‘oh, I just started working out!’ or ‘Oh, I just cut back!’ like a lot of these other Hollywood skanks say when they lose weight.

The show went on for the Dave Matthews Band on Tuesday night, with Matthews paying tribute from the stage to saxophonist LeRoi Moore, who died earlier in the day.

“We all had some bad news today,” Matthews told the sell-out crowd at the Staples Center in Los Angeles after the first song. “Our good friend LeRoi Moore passed on and gave his ghost up today and we will miss him forever.”

Fans shouted Moore’s name in tribute as the band resumed playing. Two songs later, Matthews once again made reference to Moore, saying: “It’s easier to leave than be left.”

Moore, a founding member of the band, died Tuesday afternoon of complications from an all-terrain vehicle accident in June, the band’s rep announced.

Moore, who had recently returned to his house in L.A. to begin a physical rehabilitation program, died at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, according to the rep.
