Because she's multi-talented and always dreamed of writing books, you know this shiz has nothing to do with being on a shitty MTV reality show, Lauren Conrad has scored a three-book deal with Harper Collins.
The 22-year-old snooze fest will "write" a series titled L.A. Candy.
The series tells "the behind-the scenes story of a young girl who moves to L.A. and unexpectedly becomes the star of a reality television show," according to a release.
Along with the fame comes fabulous clothes, romance and, of course, drama.
The character soon realizes that "everyone wants something from her, and nothing is what it appears to be," the release states.
The pressure is on for LC to deliver!
Elise Howard, Senior VP/Associate Publisher of Fiction: "I've never seen a new project generate noise like the instant buzz that swept through our offices around this deal. We're bracing ourselves for a blockbuster publication."
The first book will be published next summer.
There's no way Lauren's fictional autobiography is going to be interesting or mildly good, but it will sell. She's LC.
I think it's great that she's a driven business woman. I hate lazy people and those who don't tap into resources and dream big. Go Lauren! :) I know from personal experience how dumb LC fans are. They will eat this shit up, probably buying 4 copies at a time and having sleepovers so they can discuss what happens. This is a good move.
