Thomas Beatie, "the world's first pregnant man," is pregnant with his second baby; he is due June 12. Now in his first trimester, Thomas Beatie gave birth to a daughter in the same month he's due again - June. Beatie, 34, tells Barbara Walters that he didn't go back on testosterone after his daughter, Susan, was born because he wanted to get knocked up again.
"I feel good. I had my checkups with my hormone level, as far as the HCG. And everything is right on track."
Beatie also opened to Walters about giving birth: He said the baby was not born via Caesarean section; he was in labor for 40 hours and that his wife, Nancy, cut the umbilical cord.
Beatie, who was born a woman, had his breasts surgically removed and legally changed his gender from female to male, he first revealed on The Oprah Winfrey Show this past April.
Although he took hormones and lived as a man, he said he kept his female sex organs in hopes to get pregnant one day.

It really bugs me that anybody gives a shit about Thomas Beatie. Bitch is NOT a man. Sure, he looks like a man, but look up the definition of man and woman or male and female. Why it bugs me? Because people act like this cannot be done by anybody else if they wanted to, like he's some kind of medical mystery!
BTW, I'm calling him "him" because I respect the fact that that's what he wants to be. I'm not homophobic, just stuck in technicalities! :-)

I think the story is sensationalized when it reads "Pregnant Man" versus "Transgered Man."
And a lot of people still don't understand the differences within the Trans-community. I know I don't.
I have a friend who has a girlfriend who refers to herself as genderqueer. Yes... it gets even gayer than just gay and lesbian. Now we have genderqueer, which means that sometimes she's a boy, sometime's she's a girl, all in one body.
No offense to the LBGTQ community.

I agree with Shhh that this is overly sensationalized. Beatie is hardly the first transman to have a baby. He's just the first to be as public about it.

It's sad that in some states assisted suicide is legal, and much more accepted than those who transition or gay rights in general.
Thomas has to be one of the bravest people I've ever met, and Nancy as well. Transgenders are some of the only people that are true to who they are. Thomas is a man, regardless of his former-life or what any uninformed/ignorant people have to say.

This human is obviously a woman. no boobs doesn't make it a man.
More like Pregnant women, with functioning female organs. She's a pregnant lesbian happens everyday. but please people be real with your selves. this is clearly a woman.
the law may say Man.
But science and 100% of religions say woman.
I prefer accuracy which happens for some reason to not be the law, total shock there. (man overruled)
