OMG, I Can't Believe How Effing Stupid Grey's Anatomy is Now

I was chugging down sake in my room last night watching Grey's Anatomy with my roommate, and the episode featured Denny, Izzie's ex-fiance who Izzie kinda sorta killed. He died a season ago, and suddenly he's back, talking to her and shiz. Fine. I've seen ghost characters before. I'll deal.

Denny tells Izzie to touch him at different points in the episode; she gets pissed and tells him to leave her alone. Then during the final minutes of the show, Izzie gives in and puts her palm on his chest. He uses his other hand to wrap around hers and she goes, "You're real!" And she's crying. And she's psycho.

I then said, "Dude, I wanna have sex with a dead guy!" to my roommate. She was in hysterics. I said that before ABC aired what was to come on next week's Grey's Anatomy episode, and you guessed it - Izzie and Denny are having sex!

Izzie's having sex with a dead guy. Great. Grey's has hit an all-time low. The story line reminds me of NBC soap, Passions. Passions used a midget to play the character of a doll! It was one of the most disrespectful roles a dwarf could ever play. The doll would talk and etc. like a real person. My sister and I thought it was hilarious, but givin' it up to a ghost? Not so funny, just ridiculous.

OKAY, I just read a few sites - people think Izzie has a brain tumor and that's why Denny's back. Something better be wrong with Izzie cause right now I think the script is dumb as hell. Oh, and I still wanna have sex with a ghost, but only if he's sexy.

Fans are pissed at how dumb Grey's is over at the LA Times. I'm not alone.

I hate that show. My wife's daughter is playing that show as well as its spin off in the next room, one at a time... forever. Listening to bits of the dialog and plot bleeding through the walls... its silly, cheesy, high gloss, pink candy colored teddybear fluff.

Lets start from the beginning. The entire lead in song says over and over "Nobody Knows" and teases the watcher with the certain knowledge that an anonymous affair is sure to be displayed for all the eager watchers. Come on. Women fuss for years about getting respect and not being treated like meat at the workplace... then they write up a show about... gasp, an office romance.

Then the plot begins to unfold. Over and over we see the tired 'Oxygen' and 'Lifetime' plots of... some guy don't know nothing and is walking over some girl. Constantly... from my place in the next room listening to what the actors talk about, it seems ever ten to fifteen minutes a woman is pushed beyong her means and she gets to get angry and get off on some tanget. Everyone around her listens, accepts her sage words, then go about fixing the plot of whatever so drove this woman to tears on national television. I know this is a medical show and things are on high alert, but come on. If a surgen or patient loses it and cries and starts on some speech, she would have lost all credibility. No one listens to people who scream and cry, its a hard fact. If you want something to happen, you play the game, you talk to someone, you wait your turn, you think your way to the solution. You dont... break down 'til everyone rushed to fix up your situation. Every 'career woman' should know that.

Now, I know this is a lot to lay down, probably should have broken down that last one into two points, but this final one is another problem for me. My wife is a nurse and I am an in training as a rad technician. In the medical field, we have to respect each other. We have to be adults. The entire Grey's show, and its Practice spin off, make it seem like the hospital is home room and everyones got a crush on someone. In a medical show, you shouldnt be able to judge someone's comptence by thier attractiveness and how well they mesh with female characters personal lives. Watch ER. Romance happened, but it wasnt the swooning heartbeat of the show and some doctors were ugly and mean, but totally medically correct.

So, to summon my problems with this show. 1) It shouldnt revolve around 'getting down' with some cute doctor. 2) Women (also applies to men/children/pets) dont get to just get weepy and then get thier way. 3) This isnt high school and being cute wont get you far in the medical field.

If they could fix those three problems, then we could just watch a good episode of House or ER.
