When will the madness stop! I can't believe that major national publications publish "reports" that they read on Facebook. Craziness.

Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester is not engaged.

The New York Post had reported that she and beau Sebastian Stan announced on their "secret" Facebook pages that they're getting hitched.

But Stan's rep tells Usmagazine.com, "He is not engaged."

Another source tells Us that the supposed Facebook pages are fake.

I didn't even care if Leighton was engaged because that marriage would end in divorce by the next season of Gossip Girl. Young people seriously need to wait to get hitched, it just doesn't work out otherwise.
