In 1980, Barack Obama was a freshman at Occidental College in Los Angeles when he was approached by an aspiring photographer to pose for a series of black-and-white pictures for her portfolio.

In revealing photos by Lisa Jack, the future president �" and Time's Person of the Year �" can be seen in his youthful days in unguarded moments with hat and cigarette.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office has ruled the death of Mark Ruffalo's 39-year-old brother, Scott, a homicide.

Ruffalo died in the hospital Dec. 8, a week after being discovered in his Beverly Hills apartment with a gunshot wound to the head. Coroner's spokesman Craig Harvey said Wednesday that their investigation has determined that someone else shot him.

Police arrested a suspect, 26-year-old Shaha Mishaal Adha, on Dec. 9, but she was released and cleared of playing a role in Scott's death less than two days after turning herself in for question.

Adha's attorney, Ronald Richards, made the media rounds soon after, describing the incident as a case of Russian roulette gone awry. Scott Ruffalo was a habitual drug user, Richards said, and was "under the use of controlled substances" the night he was mortally wounded. No other suspects have been named publicly.

There was also another person, Kristian Muradaz, who was arrested and released. Police have yet to release a motive.

With all the rumors and speculation, Scott has been unable to R.I.P. Condolences go out to his family and friends.

A rep for Saved By The Bell alum Tiffani Thiessen is slamming a new tabloid report claiming that the actress, 34, is expecting.

Star is reporting that Thiessen and her husband of three years, actor-artist Brady Smith, "are over the moon." According to the tabloid, the two wanted a baby so badly they even went to a Los Angeles fertility center for treatments.

Not so, says her rep.

"She is not expecting. They would love to have a family someday in the near future, but right now she is focused on working."

The top grosser of the year is about to become the top homevideo seller of the year. During its first week of release, "The Dark Knight" sold more than13.5 million discs across all retail channels worldwide, and set impressive standards for the next-gen Blu-ray format.

According to Warners, "The Dark Knight" sold more than 1.7 million Blu-ray discs worldwide its first week. Although comparisons are tricky given the elusiveness of worldwide sales data, "The Dark Knight" is now considered the undisputed Blu-ray champ, given the strong bow.

The studio also projects that "The Dark Knight" will become the bestselling 2008 title overall this week. Consumers have bought more than 10 million copies of the pic, with the remainder of purchases by rental outlets.

Why do I feel like Akon got off easy?

Akon pleaded guilty Wednesday to harassment for tossing a fan off stage at an upstate New York concert last year.

He will serve no jail time as long he performs 65 hours of community service and pays a $250 fine, according to the plea bargain in Fishkill Town Court.

The 35-year-old singer threw a teenage boy off the stage during a June 2007 concert at a minor league baseball stadium near Poughkeepsie. Another concertgoer said she suffered a concussion when the teen landed on her.

Witnesses said a spectator threw something at Akon during the show at Dutchess Stadium. After he asked the crowd to point out the culprit, a security guard picked up a 15-year-old boy and sent him up to the stage. Akon hoisted the teen onto his shoulders and flung him into the crowd.

Police are withholding the name of a 38 year-old headcase accused of stalking Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson were leaving Scottsdale Arizona club Jackrabbit Lounge at 1:30 a.m. when the dude lunged for the fireho.

"The gentleman became very excited when he realized he was so close to Samantha, and he has a history of being a stalker with Lindsay Lohan, so he immediately attacked her and started yelling 'I love her, I love her,' " the club's owner, Dan Wierck, told the local ABC affiliate.

Bodyguards and police were quick to tackle the man and Lohan and Ronson were subsequently ushered off the premises. Police said they contacted Lohan and Ronson at their local hotel, where both women denied knowing the man. He was subsequently released after spending several hours in custody.

Police haven't confirmed whether or not the stalker loser S.O.B. will face charges as a result of the incident. He was initially arrested for disorderly contact after pushing a guard so he could get closer to LiLo.

What kind of world do we live in if we can't shout out "I love her!" at someone? I think it's kind of romantic. Not as moving as declaring your love in the sky with a banner or writing words in the clouds, but it comes in a close second.
