Sporty Spice is a mommy. Melanie Chisholm has welcomed a baby girl, she announced on her Web site.
Scarlett Starr -- who weighed 8lbs., 3 oz. -- was born Sunday.
Both mom and daughter "are doing fine," she added.
She announced in August that she and her beau of six years, property developer Thomas Starr, were expecting.
"We are very happy," she said at the time.
First baby at 35 years old? Someone had herself some fun first. Congrats!

Slumdog Millionaire is a good movie, saw it like a month and a half ago, but hot dayum, there's a lot of hype for this flick. Geezus. I'm kind of in love with the Academy, you want them on your side. Once you're in, you are in!
Sean Penn was the upset. I wanted Mickey Rourke to get his trophy, but I'm really happy for Sean and his powerful pro-gay marriage speech.
Kate Winslet, I love you, woman! So excited for her. Excited for Slumdog, too. I have no complaints. I saw pretty much all the movies nominated this year, with the exception of a few. Handing out the awards is clearly the best part of the Oscars, all the Broadway musical shit and performances had me doing other things.

Angelina Jolie and her hawt, bright earrings are gorgeousness.

Anne Hathaway's dress has so many beautiful details. It really is gorgeous. The woman can pull off anythang. She just needs to gain some weight. She looks tiny!
Joel Madden announced that Nicole Richie is pregnant again. The announcement blog post is titled "Better than winning an OSCAR!," as if he's already won an Academy Award or either of them were in the running:

Clay Aiken has parted ways with RCA. A source tells Billboard Aiken left the label a couple of months ago, on the heels of his 2008 album, "On My Way Here."
That set sold just 159,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Aiken's 2003 debut, "Measure of a Man," sold 2.78 million.
The artist joins a slew of second place finishers -- Katharine McPhee, Justin Guarini, Blake Lewis and Bo Bice, among them -- let go from their major-label deals post-"Idol."
