Conservative radio talk show host Tammy Bruce calls Michelle Obama trash. When Michelle Obama told kids that she was criticized for doing well in school and "talking like a white girl" Tammy calls her trash.
Tammy is unqualified to say that about Michelle Obama and I'm becoming pretty upset myself as I type this. I'm told that I talk like a white girl on a frequent basis and have been told that my entire life. WTF does Tammy know about that?! Nothing. She knows as much about that as I know about a white person being called a wigger, redneck, white trash, cracker, dumb blonde or etc. I am unqualified to speak of a white person's struggle and she is unqualified to speak of a black person's struggle.
Alright. I am done. Rant over. That was exhausting and I am glad that the "trash in the White House" is able to bring taboo topics to the forefront of discussion among the youth and adults alike.

I don't even know what that means "you talk like a white girl"? Or you sound "hood". Or you don't have "street credit" because you kick with people from different skin color than you. To be honest, I am sick who is older than 40 or 50 making race such an issue. I am not saying it isn't around people my age but it is very slim and not around anyone I hang with. I feel like most people my age don't give a shit! People like to hurt other people and say it is for some agenda when in actuality they are just mean people! I don't know people like this inbreed bitch and that is all that matters!

Tammy Bruce should NOT be speaking about black issues just like I should not be speaking about white issues or gay issues or Chinese issues, etc.
It does happen, maybe not in your circles but people still tell me that I talk like a white girl. It's an ongoing problem within the African-American community and it causes many people to try to be more "hood" so that they can fit in. Its effects can be devastating, including students who do poorly in school so that they won't be told they're "acting white."
Many people of all cultures, communities, subcultures and groups segregate themselves with labels instead of working together for the greater good. Michelle was saying that she didn't pay attention to the haters and Tammy Bruce didn't get that and turned it into something negative.

This lady is a moron! Plain and simple and she was obviously looking for a way to twist Michelle's words. Fact is, there are some black people out there that will and have chastised other black people for speaking proper English and they WILL say to your face that you "sound like a white person". Michell is not lying here. It happens all the time.I've heard it all my life and you'd be surprised how often it happens. This chick obviously is taking Michelle's comments out of context.Michell was not being racist when she made that statement. If anything, she was calling the people that say those things, out on their ignorance. Those of us that have experienced what Michelle commented on knew exactly what she meant by it and it doesn't make her trash for speaking the truth.

Anyway, with the issue at hand, I just gather an overwhelming sense of hostility on Tammy Bruce's part. And, like other conservative hosts, Tammy has selected among the most mundane of topics just to have something to disuss while on the heels of Obama's high popularity right now.

When people like Tammy Bruce don't wanna hear about a controversial topic, for whatever reason it may be, they feel that they have to attack the person who raises the issue.
As African-American females, you and I both know all too well exactly what Michelle was talking about. Also worth mentioning is that Michelle said that to provide inspiration to young people - AND SHE DOES! She's the first lady for Christ's sake and she was told that she "talks like a white girl." But Michelle still worked hard in school even though she was "acting white" and look at where it has brought her now. Bow down. :)
