Conservative radio talk show host Tammy Bruce calls Michelle Obama trash. When Michelle Obama told kids that she was criticized for doing well in school and "talking like a white girl" Tammy calls her trash.
Tammy is unqualified to say that about Michelle Obama and I'm becoming pretty upset myself as I type this. I'm told that I talk like a white girl on a frequent basis and have been told that my entire life. WTF does Tammy know about that?! Nothing. She knows as much about that as I know about a white person being called a wigger, redneck, white trash, cracker, dumb blonde or etc. I am unqualified to speak of a white person's struggle and she is unqualified to speak of a black person's struggle.
Alright. I am done. Rant over. That was exhausting and I am glad that the "trash in the White House" is able to bring taboo topics to the forefront of discussion among the youth and adults alike.

With all the media misinformation out there. How can you in good concience believe what ANY talking Head says. If you are really serious about who you are and what you stand for you will check out what is said by both sides. Verify what is said to be truth or lie. Read what other opposing views are so you can form an honest opinion .Not just a foolish Prejudice Above all Question, prove to those in power that you deserve your rights. else they will steal them from you and leave you worse off then you see yourself now.

I've had black and white people tell me that I talk like a white girl. Tammy Bruce has some serious issues. Given her long drawn out definition of trash, maybe she was describing herself.

I just listened to that twice, and I still can't figure out what it was that Michelle Obama said to offend this bitch. It makes me sad that people like Tammy Bruce have to make something out of nothing just because they are bitter old bitches. Michelle is such a fabulous person, and I can't even begin to understand why people dislike her. I don't think I want to understand.
Firecracker, I loved your commentary. You are so right "I am unqualied to speak of a white person's struggle and she is unqualified to speak of a black person's struggle." It is so offensive that Tammy Bruce would try to comment on something like that. As people coming from different perspectives sometimes the most we can do is to empathize, which is enough and it makes us kind respectful human beings.

When people like Tammy Bruce don't wanna hear about a controversial topic, for whatever reason it may be, they feel that they have to attack the person who raises the issue.
As African-American females, you and I both know all too well exactly what Michelle was talking about. Also worth mentioning is that Michelle said that to provide inspiration to young people - AND SHE DOES! She's the first lady for Christ's sake and she was told that she "talks like a white girl." But Michelle still worked hard in school even though she was "acting white" and look at where it has brought her now. Bow down. :)
