Carrie Prejean Today Show Video Interview
Miss California and Miss USA runner-up Carrie Prejean spoke with Matt Lauer on The Today Show and Carrie Prejean says that she is a proud Christian who opposes gay marriage because she's following what the bible says. She also said that she would answer the question the same way if she had to do it all over again.
Perez Hilton also weighs in before Carrie speaks to Matt Lauer. Carrie spoke from her heart and the damage has already been done. I'm not so sure what she should do now?

God bless you Carrie Prejean for your integrity! Those pageant judges and sponsors have dishonored themselves when they have discouraged candidates from giving a honest answer. How meaningful is our right to free speech if integrity is attempted to be stifled? Miss California wins the Character award, and the Miss USA pageant isn't worth watching for throwing mud at integrity.

It's not about hatemongers: A true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ knows that He loves all of us. A believer in Jesus Christ can still love the sinner, but not the sin. However, the Bible is what it is, the TRUTH! As they say, if we believers are wrong, we still had a great a wonderful life, but if non believers are wrong, they have eternity to suffer their mistake in not following God's word. I applaud Prejean that she stood for her belief, unwilling to say the politically correct thing, unwilling to sacrifice her Biblical belief to win a material thing in this life. Can't take it with you. Honoring God you can.

I hope Perez Hilton does not get into an intelligence contest with Miss California. I hate to see an unarmed man in a fight.

Perez Hilton only asked that question to pass his homosexual agenda.
He probably figured she would answer that it is each persons choice. You could tell by his expression after she answered that it his question blew up in his face. He is right on one thing, that Miss California would not have been the best choice to represent USA. They want someone who won't speak their mind and that will go around telling everyone that anything they choose is ok. Prejean was a breathe of fresh air. Someone who actually answers a question truthfully.

What is this zero IQ Idiot blogger judging women for? He doesn't like them to begin with. Great choice comb-over. The question was not relevant and should have disqualified the whole program.
Carrie you are the winner in America's heart.

Perez Hilton is a phony useless hate monger. The question was not relevant to anything except his beliefs or desires. I have many gay friends who were also disgusted with him. He is a person that brings hate in the scenario purposely for his self promoting blug. Where did anyone dig this slug up and think he could judge anything on the merits it should be judged on?

It seems Perez is being much more hateful than Miss California. He even calls her names. How is it that conservative Christians are always accused of being hateful and intollerant when everyone else is so hateful and intollerant of us? Miss California didn't say anything hateful and didn't express hate for gays. She simply said what she believes in. And scripture clearly says homosexuality is sin, there is no gray area when it comes to this. And no, hating sin is not the same as hating the person. God loves us all, but hates our sin and Jesus taught us to do the same. I'm so proud of Miss California for not compromising for an earthly crown. Her reward will be great in heaven.

Listen to what Perez says VERY CAREFULLY. He wasn't disgusted with her view, he was disgusted with the WAY she answered the question. "In MY COUNTRY...." what the hell is that? This isn't her country anymore than it is Perez's, yours or mine. She couldn't have been more polarizing than that. Saying "no offence" is no excuse to say whatever you want and get away with it. If she really meant "no offence," she should have showed a little more consideration for the hundreds of thousands of homosexuals in America by acknowledging that she can see where they are coming from, but...(insert whatever religiously biased view she wants). But to launch off with "in my country..." She is supposed to represent AMERICA, not the bible belt, and part of that representation is showing at least some consideration for its diversity in sex, and opinion, otherwise she is a poor representative of what the USA is.

Folks, the reason God hates sin (homosexual or heterosexual) is not because He hates people or doesn't want us to have fun, but because it brings destuction into our lives. God loves us so much that He hates anything that will destroy us. However, He will always respect our right to choose. He wants us to choose Him and not sin. And yes, it is a choice. Whether you are involved in homosexual sin or heterosexual sin, if you dig deep enough you will find that you were effected by something directly or indirectly that has had a major impact on your behavior. But there is deliverance in Jesus Christ for everyone. As a Christian, to love someone is to tell them the truth whether it feels good or not. That's what Jesus did, and that's what Carrie Prejean did when the gentleman asked her the question. I don't always like to hear the truth myself, but the truth will make you free!

But don't actions speak louder than words? If you hate what someone is doing, aka the CHOICES they make, wouldn't that mean you are hating who they are and what they believe in? Personally I think Love is Love, and if you love someone who is the same sex as you, that's fine. I'm straite, but I'm not going to let that, or anything else go to my head, and let me discriminate others.
