WTF Pic of the Day: Patrick Swayze Battles Pancreatic Cancer

Patrick Swayze has dropped to only 105 pounds and is suffering complications from his pancreatic cancer. The 5-foot-10 actor has been an inspiration and is enduring excruciating pain to film his A&E series The Beast. On April 3 he traveled to a doctor's appointment and his 50-year-old brother Don says that his brother isn't going to let cancer stop him from doing what he needs to do.

Don said, "He can't ignore the cancer... He still has stomach problems and sometimes needs help walking. He also suffers from fluid buildup in his abdomen, which he has to have drained periodically. But he's upbeat and taking everything that happens in stride."

Patrick's close friend and Ghost co-star Whoopi Goldberg acknowledged that the actor has lost weight, but revealed that he is in "good spirits." That's difficult to do when the National Enquirer keeps predicting your expiration date.

Good spirits will keep Mr. Swayze alive much longer than a Lohan-esque pity party. He is such an optimistic, courageous fighter. Sending lots of positive energy Patrick's way.
