Adam Lambert and Kris Allen React to American Idol Season Finale Upset
The American Idol season finale was the biggest upset in the show's eight year history. It was reported today that 6 out of every 8 American Idol votes are cast from the South. Kris is from Arkansas.
Kris Allen allegedly won by a landslide, which is ridiculous. You should really only be allowed to vote for an American Idol contestant once per night. Kris Allen said,
“I’m shocked. I feel great, but I’m just shocked.”
“Adam deserved this just as much as I do. He’s an amazing performer, a gifted guy — an amazing guy.”
Adam Lambert said,
“Kris is my bud. He’s such a good guy, so humble, and he’s super talented. I’m really happy for him.”
“I’m a little bit different, and people enjoyed it, and that feels amazing. It feels really cool to be able to challenge people’s concepts of what is an American Idol.”
“Getting to sing with Queen and Kiss on stage tonight,. That, to me, was winning.”

It is so great to see that the Lord is still strong in the hearts of Americans . Kris Allen represents the goodness of us all. We will not not vote for or excepted those who have bad morale values I do believe and never will believe they should be rolls models for our children. The right person won and that's all there it is to.Get over and praise God. I pray for repentace for Allen Lambert .He did win because God did not want him to give the devil any glory..

Last I checked, there are plenty of gay, lesbian, and otherwise confused individuals hanging around metro Atlanta, Miami, Asheville, and other southern liberal strongholds available to vote their black-nail-polished fingers off, if that's what they wished to do. They just didn't. And like it or not, traditional Americans are still in the majority in this country. We may not have as many opportunities to monopolize the media, but there are definitely more of us. Glambert had a better chance of winning over in Europe. They swallow anything over there. (pun intended.)

I'ma assume (heh) that you're being facetious with that, firecracker.;-)
From my understanding, people outside of the south have opposable thumbs and can vote just as easily as Southerners do. They just choose not to spend the effort to do so...or at least, not a bazillion times.;-)
Can't blames the rednecks for taking time out of the babymakin' (in the godly way, natch), to prevent the humankind destroyin' happening of a, **gasp**, gay winning a tv singing contest. Heaven forbid...what a catastrophe that would be.
All kidding aside, there are many Southerners (myself, originally from Georgia) who DO NOT fear teh gay; not.at.all. Some just preferred a softer sound and demeanor.
But there is no doubt that there are those that voted against something rather than for and that speaks volumes. It's appalling enough for a tv contest but in reality it happens all.the.time on issues that DO affect us all.
But, that's another thread, eh?

Wow, six out of 8 votes from the South? Figures. Most of the winners of American Idol have come from the South. They might as well just call it Southern Idol from now on.Poor Adam. :(
