Allison Iraheta Voted Off American Idol
Allison Iraheta, 17, was voted off of American Idol last night while Danny F*cking KareGokey remains. I'm beginning to re-think my nonchalant strategy and I'm strongly considering voting again to save my faves. This. Wasn't. Right. When I think about it, maybe Simon Cowell's comment to Adam Lambert, saying, "I think you may have just kept Allison in the competition" probably had viewers thinking that Allie was safe, so they didn't vote for her?!! People always think other people are voting for the talented ones and that's not always the case.
Also, Simon Cowell looked pretty furious that Allison was voted off because he realized that he wasted his "Judges Save" on that wannabe Justin Timberlake, not naming his name, don't feel like it.
I luvs Allison and I'm hoping that she will be the next Daughtry or even Jennifer Hudson. One does not need to win American Idol in order to have a very successful career. Go Allie!

@Amy - Kewl. Pop Idol clips are only shown once in a while on American TV (ex. Leona Lewis), but not the entire program though. Thx for the insight!

D:< American Idol is no fun anymore. Stupid Kris or Danny shouldve gotten voted off. Allison was unique! And I love her. She is so talented.

Allison got screwed last night.
Kris or Gokey should have gone home.
Kris is so boring and Gokey is trying to get the sympathy vote.
I wanted it to come down to Allison and Adam.
Adam is so superior to Kris and Gokey!!!
Adam better win because if he doesn't people will say it was rigged just like when that fat tub a lard Rubin Studdard won and it should have been Clay Aiken.
That was a farce.

@ Craigmackk - Hey, the British versions are similar and the level of talent can be pretty good. I used to love Pop Idol, it started when I was in high school and then the US versions came along some time later. The auditions, just as ridiculous, the finals are just as wowing - idiots and talent alike know of no international boundary :)

@ Amy - How does Pop Idol compare to its American counterpart? Is it pretty much the same, better, or worse?

Also, Craigmackk, same thing happens here in the UK some of the most talented people get booted early as people assume too damn much and do not vote.

Allie was robbed! Danny was definitely the worst and should have gone home. He was horrible the other night.

I'm thinking Allison might have lost some votes because of how she fired back against Simon after her performance. You could tell Simon was annoyed when he told her that she should just start begging. Last season David Cook sassed Simon and he made an ass out of himself, and I think Allison did too. Their personalities have a big influence on their votes, which is why I don't like Kris, because he's boring! Kris should have gone last night because unlike Allison, he has no potential to win, he never did!

Word, this scenario transpires every season on Idol too! Because of Simon's high influence and fans assuming Allison was safe in the competition, some viewers don't bother to vote at all. It's the equivalent of some Americans not voting for Obama this past November because they felt he would win in a landslide anyway.
