Carrie Prejean Speaks, Donald Trump Press Conference Video: Miss California Stays!

Say what you will about Carrie Prejean, but she is a very passionate and engaging speaker! I am so impressed.

Carrie's voice cracked a few times as she began to tear up, but she held it together, proving that she is indeed the "strong woman" that she proclaims to be. Carrie has been thrust into the spotlight and thrown under the bus by "Judge Number Eight" - I love it! Carrie didn't mention Perez's name, and she did not deserve all the backlash that she has received.

Whether you agree with Carrie's stance on gay marriage or not is irrelevant. If Carrie were fired, what would that say about freedom of speech? Over the past few weeks Miss California's life and her actions have been under the microscope simply because she doesn't support gay marriage. We should be able to agree to disagree and we should respect each other.

I am elated that Perez asked the question that he did and that Carrie spoke from her heart. I've always been in love with honesty, and that's what Carrie was when she was up on the Miss USA stage. I rather have someone talk shit to my face than behind my back. There are many reasons why this woman should be applauded. She is courageous!

Carrie won me over with her press conference today, and like her, I'm not afraid to speak the truth by saying so.

Honesty is the best policy. She spoke her mind and Trump is not going to penalize her for that. As for the pictures Trump sets the rules. What he says goes.

That is right, "Judge Number 8" was self motivated by asking that question. I think not. I love how she needs to bring up the President and other "dignitaries" to make her point more valid and to say, yet again, gay marriage is wrong. I think she is a TWAT and I don't care what her opinion is. If you are saying that "my kind" can't get to do what we want because YOU are HOLDING us back from what we deserve then SUCK IT! Her opinion is all fine and dandy but her opinion is restricting other people because of her beliefs. She hasn't kept silent at all. She signed up with a very hateful group and helped push their disgusting agenda. If that group had their way, they would rage a holocaust type warfare on the gay and lesbian community! I really find it appalling that this bitch represents (at the very least on a national podium) my friends and family in California. She doesn't NOT speak for them and this close minded judgmental wench does not speak for me, EVER! My favorite part is when she said "at the end of the day, you don't have to like me but you should respect my rights", really FUCKTARD, what about my CIVIL rights?? Oh that's right; "Jesus" says it's so wrong! SUCK IT...This isn't over!!

Could not have put it better myself!!!

    @ Mr. Gyllenhaal,

As you know, I do not agree with Carrie's stance on gay marriage, I also do not agree with the backlash that she has received either. I have participated in that backlash and I see things differently after watching her press conference.

In yesterday's press conference with Shanna and Keith, they both stated that Carrie's beliefs are personal and do NOT represent the organization.

I think it's important to remember Carrie's upbringing. That being said, many people who grow up in a religious household share Carrie's beliefs. Carrie was taught/believes that marriage between one man and woman is "biblically correct," in my opinion that's better than the bigots who simply "hate the gays," and can't provide any solid reasons for their beliefs.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I don't want to offend anyone, but I do think that Carrie did a great job speaking and I'm glad that she has been given a chance to prove herself.

She is much more than her one answer, and unfortunately, her gay marriage stance is what has represented her entire character for the past three weeks.

That is fine. But if someone wants to say blacks or Mexicans should only be half citizens and then had a platform to spew that BS I would 100% say screw her. All I am saying, is her view has the power to bring more negative connotations to the issue at hand. She is in place where young people might look up to her and that is NOT OKAY! PERIOD. Replace the gay marriage with any other current or past social issue and it is still not right. Someone who thinks and says someone else is immoral because of the way they are is BULLSHIT. That is all I will ever say again. For the record, I couldn't be offended by you FC...you are way too hot!

I really didn't think of it that way, thank you! :) I appreciate the insight. You're so right, but I do think that drama is good for business and Donald Trump loves publicity.

You raise important questions, if Carrie said that minorities are second class citizens, would she lose her crown?

I also think that The Donald agrees with Carrie, cause you know that if someone said something that offended either one of us, that jerk would be out!

    Makes ya think, doesn't it.

Donald also refused to offer his opinions on gay marriage when he was asked about it. Explains everything, IMO.

Are you serious? How can she be against "gay" marriage BUT be the hypocrite she is??? This makes no sense. Then again, it does make sense, most Christians I know pick and choose...

Any who, if she was say, just for an example, don't get down my throat about this... Mother Teresa or WAY better yet, Jesus himself, then we can "talk", if you follow what I'm saying...

People are pissed off at her because she is the type that feels what she "says" goes and if she wants to do the nasty, that's fine and dandy, but nobody else is allowed?? That's hypocrisy at it's finest. The bible says a sin is a sin, we're all sinners no matter what any one says and what I do, you may not do, but you'll do something I don't, etc...

Why are her sins any less than the next persons in her pathetic mind? Get a life bimbette.
