Paula Abdul Singing and Dancing I'm Just Here For The Music Video
Paula Abdul had her big comeback performance on American Idol last night, lipsynching her aptly titled new single "I'm Just Here for the Music." Paula Abdul was clearly just there for the music (that was playing on the speakers) cause this crackhead didn't sing a word.
Paula's lip synching sucked, but it didn't suck as badly as one of the dullest songs I've heard in ages. "I'm Just Here for the Music" belongs on the cutting room floor and Ms. Abdul has not evolved as an artist. Even though she's had a hiatus for more years than many Idol contestants have been alive, like the botox in her cheeks, Paula's creativity remains frozen in time.
Ms. Abdul's choreography is tired and her lyrics sound like they were written by a hyperactive 12 year-old who just wanted to have her crush take her home. Me thinks Paula was on drugs when she co-signed on this. One can only hope, cause that's the only explanation that would suffice. With all that being said, I hope the has been keeps performing on American Idol over and over again. When Paula ended her cheese fest of a performance by saying, "Gentlemen, I'm just here for the music!" I wanted more!

I'm SO surprised that everybody seems to be shocked by Paula Abdul' lip-synching, but Gwen Stefannie was also lip-synching, doesn't that count? Can anyone show me an artist who doesn't lip-synch nowadays?
When it comes to her dance perfomance, i must say (as a professional dancer) it just wasn't the best she is really able to do. Although she'll prove her great dancing skills soon.
All in all, I personally think it's utterly respectable for Paula to lip-synch considering all the jumping and running she was doing during the song. Could anyone perform a perfect vocal while dancing???

I am too scared my eardrums would burst if I were to press play. Do you think it would be better viewed with the volume turned down...

I heard Paula was horrible last night, deliberately turned the channel to the Laker game during her performance because I didn't give two shits about watching her perform at all!
