The rumors were true! Adam Lambert is gay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, maybe you should exhale now.
The rumors about him coming out in the next issue of Rolling Stone are also true cause that's what Adam Lambert did.
“I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay. Right after the finale, I almost started talking about it to the reporters, but I thought, ‘I’m going to wait for Rolling Stone, that will be cooler.' I didn’t want the Clay Aiken thing and the celebrity-magazine bullshit.
I need to be able to explain myself in context. I’m proud of my sexuality. I embrace it. It’s just another part of me. I’m trying to be a singer, not a civil rights leader."
I could give a jizz that Adam is gay, I want him. He looks damn sexy on that cover, good Gawd! Look at sexy Glambert dissing Clay Aiken? Glambert thinks he's better than Gayken, he's a diva, watch out now. Bring it, Adam!
Also, ADAM WON AMERICAN IDOL. He's graced Entertainment Weekly already, Rolling Stone. Where are Kris Allen's covers?
My favorite quote from Rolling Stone's teaser? The flamboyant Idol singer hits our cover and bares all, talking about ... his run on the show ”I was like, ‘I’m going to glue rhinestones on my eyelids, bitch!’ “ - I want to marry this man.

That cover is HOT! Love him. That is so funny that he keeps dissing Clay. He deserves it though. He should have never opened his mouth about him in the first place. lmao

I'm not sure he was dissing Clay; I think it might have meant that he didn't want to be hounded for years about his sexuality by tabloid magazines and internet sites. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that as it's not in context to the whole article. As to timetable on coming out and how...it's individual. Thankfully for Adam he apparently had support his whole life, for him to be himself. Not all are so lucky.

Sadly Adam Lambert brings the homophobes to gossip blogs. :( I just had to delete a comment about "fags" a minute ago. It was up for a while too! I just read through new comments. :(
Hey all, you can call me a fag when you insult me but you can not call any other person (gay or straight) a fag on POTP! Your comment will be deleted and if you return, you will be blocked.
@ Lola,
Agreed. Adam looks sexy hawt on the cover and Gayken is a nerd. Clay Aiken should go to a nursing home and marry one of his female Claymates while she still has a pulse.

thus the shield of protectionism has been raised officially. now it will be completely forbidden to say anything negative about dumbdam, even if it be a simple, "i just dont like his singing very much" without being labeled a homophobe or worse. now that he actually said it he is immune from criticism in any way, after all we must do everything possible, perhaps even legal to protect those that make the choice of accepting a penis into them while having their own...
i actually gained a tad bit of respect for ole dumbdam, although i still dont think hes all that, when he referenced being gay as 'just another part of him', its not a big deal in his mind so why is it in everyone else's?? oh, yeah, we NEED something to get attention to our own opinions of the world so we create controversy where there really isnt any, well SOME of us do at least......

Adam's sexual preference is irrelevant to how much talent he has. However, I do not like the way he came out to the public. He is and will always be a reflection of the American Idol show. Young children watch the show and "idolize" the contestants. I don't think he is a positive influence, or example for the younger generation. He should have been honest about his orientation from the beginning. I feel he was being deceptive and dishonest to the voters and his fans. His talent is worthy of a following, yes. But, he should have persued other avenues to fame other than American Idol. His image says, lie and deceive, get want you want, then tell the truth. Nice example Adam.

Um to be honest, if he had put it out there that he was gay, He probably would of had less of a following. I hate to point it out, but America is still very much in the slums of homophobia.
That being said, I liked Adam. He has a great voice, regardless of sexual preference.
Saying that he was being "deceptive" is like saying that being gay SHOULD matter. When it shouldn't. Why should he tell the world he's gay, if thousands of straight men DON'T have to say they're straight ,right off the bat? It shouldn't matter, because it's a singing competition.
