Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have called it quits.

The split comes after a rash of breakup rumors and reports, which were shot down.
A source says Minnillo, 28, and Lachey, 35, are "still friends. It was the right thing for both of them to do."
The only reason why I'd like to be a publicist is so I could issue the breakup statements and replace the words "still friends" with "no longer speaking, kind of hate each other. It's SO over!"
Being friends with an ex right after a breakup is STOOPID!

...reading that statement a second time, I read it as they will keep sleeping together, but not actually date any more. I assume that's what "staying friends" means.
