New Footage of Michael Jackson's Pepsi Commercial Accident

Us Magazine has released never before seen footage of Michael Jackson's hair catching on fire during a 1984 Pepsi Commercial shoot. The magazine claims this accident is what started Michael's addiction to pain medication and plastic surgery.

Michael Jackson's Hair On Fire

As seen on the video, everything went fine the first few takes. It was on the sixth take that the pyrotechnics go off too early setting Michael's hair on fire. He is unaware his hair was in flames until after he walked down the steps, and started to dance. It appears that he does a couple of quick spins to try and put the flames out. At the end you can see where the flames have burned his scalp.

Who was the REAL Michael Jackson?

In my honest opinion, Michael Jackson died on Jan. 27, 1980, as far as his appearance and personality is concerned. After that horrific accident that destroyed his scalp, a different side to Michael's personality emerged. Sort of like Harvey Dent, whose left side of his face was scared. Thus, paving the way for Two-Face to take over his mind.

If the Michael Jackson of 1983, before the accident, could have seen his future self before he died, the 24 year old version would have been horrified to see what he would become.

With all the plastic surgeries that he wet through over the years, I just couldn't look at Michael Jackson the same way again, in contrast to his pre-accident self.

Quite a video sequence! I agree with US Magazine that this accient was probably the beginning of the end in Michael Jackson's spiraling personal health issues.
