Britney Spears and Russell Brand Want Each Other
Britney Spears and Russell Brand filmed this promo for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. Their ads from last year weren't much better, so I guess mediocrity is the theme.
Russell bombed when he hosted the show last year, so why did MTV bring him back? Does any of its staff just wanna find out what Russell uses on his shiny hair, cause I know I do!

I saw this commercial on TV last night and it was cheesy!
And the main reason I think Russell turned out to be miserable by many last year was because of his excessiveness of the political jokes. Let's face it, some peeps who are tuning into the MTV VMAs are impressionable teenagers who popped their first pimple the night before and can't even pinpoint Iraq or the White House on a map if some of their lives depended on it. And they are not tuning in for political humor.
It's the MTV VMAs, not C-SPAN for crying out loud!
His political jokes were hilarious last year, but there is certainly a time and place for everything. So MTV should curb Russell's political jokes if he goes that direction again this year..
