DJ AM gets candid with MTV for his new reality show, Gone Too Far.
DJ AM had been sober for 11 years before he died of an alleged overdose last week. Before his tragic death, he had helped many people with their own sobriety for years. His efforts were mostly unknown until he finally joined forces with MTV in a new show that would give us all a glimpse at Adam Goldstein - the mentor, and not just DJ AM - the talented DJ.
These videos are short, interesting and incredibly eerie.

@ Firecracker - Just watched it. Thanks for all your efforts in posting these videos, too! One of my friends on Facebook personally knew DJ AM and has been extremely heartbroken in her Fbook statuses since Friday.
He really did touch so many lives.

@ Lola & Craigmackk, I went through so many videos and posted the wrong one! Check out the 2nd video where Adam talks about how 'addicts will die.'
I posted the right video now. :)

It is remarkable the chain of events that had befallen DJ AM over the last year: first his survival of that devastating plane crash, and then his fatal overdose.
Since that plane crash, it seems like AM strived to devote the rest of his life by assisting others who are battling addiction to drugs and their prevention of falling prey to its effects. After all, he battled his own demons against it.
He will be remembered not only for his contributions to entertainment, but how he also wanted to help those beset with addiction.
In the wake of this accident, AM unfortunately suffered his own fate in relapsing and turned out to be a tragic figure of the act of addiction he's fought tooth and nail against.
Irony.
