Lil Wayne Pleads Guilty, Faces Up To a Year in Jail
Lil Wayne has plead guilty to second-degree weapons possession charges in a New York courtroom today. He had previously plead not guilty.
A .40-caliber handgun was found on Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.'s tour bus in July 2007. DNA evidence reportedly linked the rapper to the weapon. If he'd been found guilty, he could have faced up to three-and-a-half-years behind bars, according to Rolling Stone magazine.
Wayne faces a trial for felony drug possession and weapon possession in Arizona after an incident in which marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy and a handgun were allegedly found on his tour bus.
Celebrities think they're above the law, or they still have lots of hood in 'em even after they become rich and famous. Then they're thrown in jail with their fans and life is easy, right? Or do the hater inmates attack 'em behind bars as soon as they have access? In Lil Wayne's case, he better hope that everyone loves his midget ass - figuratively speaking - or he's in trouble.
