U2 Rose Bowl Youtube Concert Now Online
Now this is an ego boost of epic proportions! U2 performed for a record breaking 96,000 people at their Saturday night concert at the Rose Bowl! What a feat! The band also wanted to give everyone around the world front row seats, and YouTube got in on the act.
For the first time ever, YouTube agreed to live stream a full length concert live. Viewers in France, Canada, Italy, Spain, Japan, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Mexico, Israel, South Korea, the Netherlands, the U.K. and the U.S. were in on the show.
U2 manager Paul McGuinnes said, 'The band has wanted to do something like this for a long time... Fans often travel long distances to come to see U2 - this time U2 can go to them, globally.'

One of my friends was among the lucky few who scored a ticket to be among the 96,000 in attendance for the U2 concert at the Rose Bowl last night, and she said that all attendees were required to arrive well ahead of time due to the large crowds and immensity of the concert. Largest concert ever in Rose Bowl history. She loved it and I would have loved to have had been at the show, as well.
But yeah, U2 is one of THE most (if not, the single-most) charitable bands of all-time and it speaks to their overall generosity for several that they televised it for free on YouTube!
