As a private citizen, Senator Lugar's wife made a mistake. Let's not forget all that "innocent until proven guilty" stuff, originating from the same fabric that allows publications and/or announcements, of such invasions of privacy.
Republican or Democrat - her privacy needs to be respected. This is subject matter than none of us need to be hyper-critical of. Rather we should find solutions and not seek to place blame, or draw attention to the individual making the mistake.

i agree with deirdre if she (and Lugars wife) were a plain jane like you and I we never would have known

I got convicted at .068 and they let me drive home, testified they impounded my car....it's all about the money. Signs post .08 limit. And they lie. And their lies got me fired from my job, cost me my healthcare, and I have a disease.
My family isn't ultra rich or politicians. They took me down.
I bet these people get off lightly.
The system in America is crumbling. Justice is no longer in jeopardy, Justice is raped, justice is done.

Give it a rest, guys. The wife of Sen Lugar (R-IN) was also arrested the other day for DUI after she had an accident. Will she get off because she's a Republican? Neither of these women deserve to be roasted because they are related to politicians. They both appear to be intelligent women who have accomplished a great deal in their own right. Maybe they made mistakes, maybe they should/will be punished, and maybe you don't have enough facts to make a judgement.

DUI and dating a married man. Gee, I wonder if the media will go after her like they did Palin's daughter or is a DUI and running with a cheating husband better than a teenage pregnacy. I guess we'll find out if it's better to have a Democrat parent and the Heinz money or a Republican parent.
