Jersey Shore's Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino is Proud to be a 'Guido'
Being called a guido is a compliment to Jersey Shore's Mike Sorrentino, aka "The Situation."
Mike tells Entertainment Weekly that the younger generation gets it. "The older generation doesn’t understand. These days in New York and New Jersey a ‘guido’ is a good-looking Italian male that likes to have fun and a ‘guidette’ is a good-looking Italian girl."
But an Italian-American service organization, UNICO, objects to the cast's use of the word. I think UNICO may also be objecting due to how the cast behaves in general. The Situation defends what goes down on his MTV show cause cameras just happen to be rolling when he does what he do.
“This is what happens down here. It’s not a definition of the East Coast. It’s not a definition of Jersey or New York. It’s just a bunch of kids that happen to be partying and working and living together in New Jersey... There are gonna be a couple fights. Life is not perfect.”
I added Jersey Shore to my DVR last night. I'm dying to see it. I already know that it's everything I love about reality TV.

@ wtf,
You're an idiot. Jersey Shore is huge and, no, Mr. Gyllenhaal was not joking. He also posted that comment nearly a year ago.
I dare anyone to say anything bad about Mr. Gyllenhaal. Few have tried, all have failed.
