Steven Tyler Enters Rehab

Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler has entered rehab to get a handle on his addiction to pain killers. Steven's addiction comes as a result of using pain medication to help ease the pain he has endured from years of orthopedic injuries.

In a statement released to People, Steven said he is "taking responsibility for the management of my pain and am eager to be back on the stage and in the recording studio with my bandmates Joe Perry, Joey Kramer, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford."

I wonder if his years of 'orthopedic injuries' were a result of being messed up on pain killers and falling? Tit for tat? Addiction to prescription medicine has practically become an epidemic. I would say it's time for a war on prescription pain meds like the old war on drugs, but we see how effective that was. I know people who always have a Vicodin, Percocet, Xanax and so on, for no other reason than to get their 'feel good' on, and it makes me nervous when they're drinking alcohol on top of it.

A few years ago I took a Xanax after having a few Captain Mo's and totally blacked out. Walked home, had sex with my dude, ordered pizza, and don't remember one minute of it. That scared the sh*t out of me, and I don't plan on ever putting myself in that position again. Just this past weekend a pal of mine did pretty much the same thing and woke up with some chick who resembled Shrek laying next to him in bed. Stick with just the liquor folks!

Come on Mr. G, we're a family here. hahaha! It's scary when you wake up the next morning and don't remember even leaving the bar the night before. It was Thanksgiving Eve when it happened so thank god I didn't have to make anything to eat for the next day!
