Susan Boyle has sold 701,000 copies of her debut album "I Dreamed a Dream," beating out her debut competitors Adam Lambert, Lady Gaga and even outselling the greats like Mariah Carey, Beyonce and Taylor Swift.

Susan's album is the best-selling album debut by a woman in the Billboard SoundScan era!

Susan Boyle's debut album has sold so many copies because she is twice as old as many of her competitors. Case in point: Taylor Swift, 19, Beyonce, 28, Lady Gaga, COUGH, 23 years old.

Susan Boyle appeals to a demographic that sends snail mail instead of email, has only seen an iPod in its commercials, and wouldn't know what site to go to in order to download an album. These are the people who go to Walmart and buy cds. These are the folks who don't download. She appeals to an older demographic, the demographic that will apparently make you a lot of money cause its members won't steal your art.

I had stopped blogging about Susan B. cause I was so over her, but she really is living out her dream and it's really beautiful to see that people have embraced her for her talent and spirit; and for that I say congrats, woman!
