Tiger Woods: Steroid Scandal Details
Tiger Woods has put it in thousands of holes since the beginning of his golf career, but hookers and pornstars may be the least of his worries off the field. A new scandal involving Tiger Woods' doctor Anthony Galea is raising eyebrows and jeopardizes Tiger's credibility.
The New York Times reports that Galea is being investigated by Canadian police for "smuggling, advertising and selling unapproved drugs as well as criminal conspiracy." He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
Anthony is facing charges of possession of illegal drugs, including human growth hormone (hGH) and Actovegin, a drug extracted from calf’s blood that has been banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency. After Tiger injured his knee, Galea was flown to Woods’ home to treat him with his platelet-rich plasma injection therapy known as “blood spinning.”
Agent Mark Steinberg sent an email to the NY Times in which he said: "I would really ask that you guys don't write this? If Tiger is NOT implicate, and won't be, let's please give the kid a break."
Does one really need steroids to hit an effing golf ball?! I think Tiger is clean, but his betrayal runs deep and we just don't trust him at all anymore.
