Tyra Banks has always said that she looks up to Oprah, and the most self-absorbed talk show host in history was reportedly inspired to end her show after Lady O did.

Tyra Banks thinks that she's a Simon Cowell in her own right and she's quitting The Tyra Show to work on launching Bankable Studios, a N.Y.-based film production company.

Tyra said, “This will be the last season of The Tyra Show. I’ve been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years.”

Tyra wants to bring "positive images of women to the big screen," an industry insider said. Shouldn't she start on the silver screen where Top Model contestants are condemned for being "fat" when they're not, among other nonsense the superficial competition promotes?

Tyra said: “My next huge steps will allow me to reach more women and young girls to help us all feel as fierce as we truly are. There’s a lot cooking right now and a lot of fire burning in my heart. I really love you all."

Based upon Tyra's track record, it would be delusional to assume that she's not going to excel in any venture she pursues. But there's no other show on TV like hers and it's very unfortunate that she's pulling the plug. I miss her already.
