Jasmine Anema Dies at the Age of Six

Jasmine Anema won over President Obama, Rihanna and many others as the courageous girl with a big smile was fighting leukemia.

Jasmine, 6, passed away at 10:55 p.m. last night.

The news sent shockwaves throughout the community that had rallied around the little girl who had inspired a worldwide public campaign to find bone-marrow donors.

Jasmine received a bone-marrow transplant last year. On Monday night she was diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs. On Wednesday, Jasmine took a turn for the worse when antibiotics were not working and her lungs were filling up with fluids.

So sad. May Jasmine finally R.I.P. now.
