Chris Golightly has been in the foster care system since he was only 18 months old. Now 25, life hasn't been easy for the curly haired salesman.

Jumping from family to family, Chris has lived with "at least 25 families." Can you imagine how many "family" members will come out of the woodwork for Chris if he excels on American Idol?!!!! He's seeking to find a place that he can call his own. Hollywood, American Idol, and fame could give him a sense of accomplishment and unity.

Chris also calls himself "Orphan" and he's been singing since he was six years old. I like him already. He sings "Stand By Me" during his audition video, which is posted after the jump.
