John Mayer Not Allowed on the Oprah Show

After John Mayer said that he's not open to dating black women because he has a "white supremacist dick," Oprah Winfrey is no longer a fan. It should be noted that John Player has appeared on the Oprah show before and he and Oprah joked around and had a great time.

John Mayer racist

"The talk show queen is refusing to have the attention-seeking singer on her set. “Oprah is the smartest person on TV and will not let John use her or her show to ask for forgiveness."

John Racist and Closet Case Homosexual may reportedly appear on Oprah if he's interested in having "a much deeper conversation about race, women and fame."

As an African-American, I take no offense to John saying that he wouldn't date black women. I'd be off my rocker if I did take offense to that. Everyone should have the right to be with whomever they choose and to consider some people attractive and datable and others unattractive or undatable. It's human nature and one's environment and community also plays a role. But the "white supremacist" penis comment coupled with the N-word dropping is inexcusable. It indicates that John Mayer thinks his dick is too superior for black women, which speaks volumes. It's not normal for one to use such language when expressing their romantic preferences.

Holly Robinson Peete said he hurt all black women with his comments. I wouldn't go that far. Being black in some countries makes you the most sought after person, to members of the opposite sex, within a one-mile radius. Holly's "all black women" assertion may not apply to many women in the States and abroad who could care less about what John Player said. John's issues expand beyond race. Linking himself to white supremacy and casually using the N-word arguably signifies that he may have subconscious prejudices which have now been brought to light. He's also a closet case gay man, kissing men and allegedly giving them blow jobs. Something's not right with Johnny and I think this major foot in mouth insertion that he's committed will allow him to think before he continues to speak and act like an asshole!

The end, phantoms. Thanks for reading.

THANKS Phoenix! And for the record, Craigmackk is Asian but he doesn't admit that to anyone. Sad. Notice how he only said he's not African American in his comment.

Craig generalizes. He said some African Americans and myself (because his comment that I deleted was poorly worded) use the word "nigga," which isn't true. I have yet to use that word. Everyone calls me such a white girl and anyone who reads this blog knows that. DUH!

Craig's comment is holier than thou and he lives on another planet. There isn't a black person in the States who hasn't been called the N-word or doesn't have a strong history of what it means.

I appreciate your comment. Some people get so uncomfortable when it comes to racial issues, they just want to say certain things are okay so that everyone will shut up about it. That's not progressive. To see someone with John Mayer's intelligence and fame say such derogatory things speaks volumes and I won't make excuses for his dumb ass.

Slave owners and white supremacists have raped and impregnated black women for centuries, and let us not forget those who have tortured, terrorized and killed blacks. Why is Mayer proud to associate himself with such a vile, hateful group of people? He was trying to be funny but his attempt was pitiful.

Couple things, as i am one opinionated b*tch, but if you call me that i will slap the speech out from your mouth.
Every time i read something that comes out of this arrogant fools mouth the only impression i get is that he stayed up late reading the dictionary and worked real hard putting together some nonsense just to shock us. He is quite the rebel. But to say something so far out of line only goes to show where he comes from and where he is going. Privileged Ignoranceville. (Hopefully he gets lost in my neighborhood on the way back tho then his body will be "beat the f*ck up land" ).
I am embarrassed embarrassed embarrassed by dipsh*ts like this one(i'm white. dego, wop but unless youre a piesan don't You say it)
Others that embarrass the hell out of me are people like "Craigmakk" .
No. no. no. Let me get this straight, You are going to completely overlook your first sentence? Maybe that is where you will find enlightenment. I'm really happy that you are so P.C. craigmakk, but are you really going to 'speculate' about another persons "TRUE" familiarity with their own racial history, ubringing and experience? DO you really think you tricked anyone right there into believing you aren't calling "some blacks" ignorant? Maybe it is and maybe its not. But i'll tell you one thing its not a documentary on the history channel. This is someone's expression and who are you? Their white daddy? Oh and btw i know you probably don't know because your above this but people of latin decent -usually mexicans are called spicks, not asians. Geez get your slurs correct.
Back to Jon Whatever, Any man speaking on his dick in such an entitled to p*ssy (any color) way, really needs to stop.
Lastly, i think Oprah did exactly the right thing in not dignifying his comment with anymore of a response than she did.

Why do people make the N-word more complicated than it is?! Rappers and black people say NIGGA not nigger. Big difference! That's like saying 'sista' and 'sister' are the same word. Also, I know members of different races that casually use racial slurs about their own race. They may not be rappers, but it happens. And lastly, it's just like if I call the guy I'm dating an asshole, it's all gravy. But the moment someone else calls him an asshole, it's on! When it comes to the N-word, think of how defensive people get when others talk about their family or who they're dating & maybe then and only then will you understand why some people (like members of a family) can say certain things about other people (members of their family) and then maybe you'll get a grip!!!!!!!

Okay, as someone of non-African ancestry, I have never understood why some blacks have zero problems when using the N-word at all. It completely puzzles me, as it's still used in rap songs and under the umbrella of "satire" from stand-up comedians nowadays.

Like Lola said, and I agree completely, it's hypocrisy and a double-standard. We never observe Asians calling one another "sp*cks or "g*oks"; we never see Indians calling one another "chiefs." So why the nonchalance of some black individuals conveniently using such a vilified term in their own ancestry as the N-word?

My speculation is that some blacks who use the N-word may not have a true sense of the history, their upbringing and struggles of their ancestry. Just a guess, but I don't know for sure though.

I will say that the N-word should be eliminated from our vocabulary indefinitely, and it doesn't do anything (in all context in which the word is used) to advance any meaningful dialogue in our diverse world at all.

Yes, I am a fan, but that is not the reason why I refuse to get bent out of shape over John’s comments. I see a lot of hypocrisy and double standards when it comes to this word. If we are not going to tolerate it from John, than we shouldn’t tolerate it from anyone. Including our own people. Just because I am black person doesn’t mean I need to hop in the fray and throw stones at John. What does that accomplish? I think, if anything, it just makes things worse. I guess I am tired of the fact that every time someone says or does something, there has to be this public lynching over it. I didn’t like it when it happened to Chris Brown (who I am not a fan of by the way). Doesn’t mean I excused his behavior.

John can have his preferences, it's his comments about his preferences and his N-word pass that was problematic.

I, too, don't agree that John hurt all black women. I think this will allow him to think before he speaks and acts like an asshole, hopefully, because he is an asshole, a possible racist, and a blatant homophobe and closet case and it's coming to light.

You keep it real, but I can't stand how some fans excuse everything that someone they like does. Whether it's John Mayer or ANYONE. It's stupid.

John deserves all the backlash he's received for his statements. I took a while to even give my 2 cents on this, but I felt that as a blogger, an African-American one at that, it was overdue for me to say something.

I am convinced that Oprah has a God complex, but she is no one’s judge and jury. We all fall short and need forgiveness sometimes. She may need somebody to forgive her someday. Every time somebody does or says something she deems wrong and unforgivable, here comes Oprah to condemn them to hell. She really needs to get over herself. I am so over this John Mayer debacle. The way that people are making a big hoopla over it is quit frankly, embarrassing to me as a black woman. They make it seem like we are all crying a river over John’s lack of interest in us. I for one could care less! How many black men in hip hop have degraded and misrepresented us time and time again in their lyrics? Where was the outrage then? When we get up in arms over John freaking Mayer, we give our power away. It’s like saying, “ok…you win.” No man is worth that. I don’t care what he says. There is no love lost, because you know what? We ALL have our preferences. Holly Robinson does not speak for me and neither does Oprah. John’s always been a clown with a big, stupid mouth. Sometimes he’s funny and witty with it. Other times he fails miserably. That much has been established over the yeas and it is not anything new. Like I said. I am over it already! The “n” word has no power over me anymore and I certainly could care less about John’s preference.

Well said, Firecracker. When I originally heard about this story last week, I knew you would have strong feelings and opinions about John Mayer's comments. It's rightfully so to have indignation - he disparaged an entire ethnic group with his poor choice of words. This is 2010, and it's absurd we still have people like Mayer who freely float around damaging racist language that does not serve any reasonable purpose. I predict it will take him a while to recoup his image from this disaster. My two cents on this issue. That's all.

I wrote this post and I'm the one calling John Player a closeted homosexual. Oprah doesn't care about his ass enough to say that about him.

  10. Vickie

Sounds like Ms Winfrey hasnt read the interview or else she has a chip on her shoulder. So she retaliates by calling him a closet homosexual. That's funny since the gays are in an uproar because he used the word "fag".
