Phil Harris Dies
After suffering a stroke a few weeks ago, Captain Phil Harris, star of Discovery Channel's "Deadliest Catch," has passed away.
Phil was 53 years young. He had suffered a stroke unloading crabs and doctors medically induced him into a coma to reduce brain swelling. His condition had improved, but he took a tragic turn for the worst.
Harris' kids Jake and Josh said: "It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our dad, Captain Phil Harris. Dad has always been a fighter and continued to be until the end. For us and the crew, he was someone who never backed down. We will remember and celebrate that strength. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers."
Phil Harris will be sorely missed. RIP.
