Britney Spears and Jason Trawick Break Up

E! news has the scoop.

Britney Spears and her boyfriend Jason Trawick broke up last month after a year of dating. Ironically, Jason is still Britney Spears' agent.

Things started to go bust in December, but they made up before appearing together at the Grammys this year. "They were fighting a lot and have not been getting along. They both just needed to take a break from each other. It wasn't working out."

Don't you just love it when people who aren't publicists get quoted?! There's no "it ran its course," or 'they both have jobs' contrived statement about why things ended like Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy tried to pull.

The source says that they may make up and start dating again; I'm not so eager to co-sign on that possibility. I think Brit Brit had to date men that Papa Spears loved as much as cheese grits. Jamie Spears' conservatorship is supposed to end soon and she's already reportedly been clubbing. Britney has worked SO hard for so many years. I hope she's able to make her own decisions one day soon and be happy with them - with our without Jason by her side.
