I'm steering a bit off the norm and posting a sweet video by Ok Go for their song 'This Too Shall Pass'. You know, the group who did the sweet treadmill video for their hit 'Here It Goes Again'? The video for their new song involves a Rube Goldberg machine, which is basically a bunch of different props and materials used to cause a chain reaction.
Ok Go got some major help from Synn Labs to build the machine, and Synn Labs President Adam Sadowsky said it took about 60 people working on it to make it happen.
For it to work, every action and reaction needs to be precise for the full range of events to occur. That, Sadowsky says, is the most trying and time consuming part. "It took about a month and a half of very intense work, with people on-site all the time," Sadowsky said.
I can't imagine how many times they had to re-do this video because one marble or domino didn't fall the right way. Kudos to Ok Go and everyone who worked on the Rube Goldberg machine for making such an awesome video.
