The fake but real but fake split between Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag allegedly happened because they've run out of loot. You mean to tell me they're broke after spend half a million dollars on crystals, and another butt load of cash on plastic surgery? They should go pimp themselves out doing another taco eating appearance at Taco Bell. Every dollar helps!

Radar Online reports it was Spencer's frivolous spending that sent their relationship into a downward spiral. Sources say Spencer has cars worth over $100,000 just sitting in the driveway, and he used to pay someone $110 to take the trash out. The couple had depleted their bank account by the time The Hills was over last season.
