Rihanna Talks About Her Old, And New Boyfriend In Elle Magazine

Rihanna is looking gorgeous as usual in the new issue of Elle magazine. In the mag, Rihanna opens about her easy relationship with her new boyfriend Matt Kemp, and reflects back on the past year and her decision to be done with Chris Brown.

Rihanna In Elle Magazine July 2010

On her relationship with Matt Kemp:
“I have a boyfriend. I’m so happy. I feel really comfortable, and it’s so easy. I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace. It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family.”

On becoming a pop star:
“If I were in Barbados still, I would be dreaming about this. I asked for it, and I love it, so why am I complaining? My first day on tour, I remember saying ‘I’m so tired—this is so much.’ Then I thought, What the fuck? You asked for this—you prayed to God to tour like Madonna.”

Looking back on the past year:
“A year ago, I was very confused. Because he was my best friend. All of a sudden, one night changed our whole lives—not only our friendship, but our lives. I wanted to wake up one day and just not have that pain anymore. I wanted to be with him again or get over him—it was either-or. I just didn’t want to feel the pain, the confusion.”

If even Rihanna wanted to go back to Chris Brown, everyone would have given her so much crap for it, it wouldn't have been worth it. I'm glad she was smart and strong enough to leave a man who is pathetic enough to beat women.

Here's to hoping for a long and healthy relationship with Matt Kemp!

I understand that Rihanna did the right thing by leaving Chris Brown because once a man puts his hands on you when he promises to protect you all trust is gone. What i find kind of unfair is how since everyone says Rihanna shouldn't get back with him she has no choice but to listen like we're telling her what to do with her life. lets face it many of us wouldn't want to listen to anyone who tries and puts their two senses into our business. I totally understand giving advice to Rihanna on what to do about the situation but acting like if she was to go back with him all backs would be turned on her is ridiculous. It is as if we are forgetting that she's just like us and many times we've liked someone so bad that it hurts, and just letting that person go is not easy. People should separate the Rihanna we see on magasines and in music videos from Robyn Fenty.

Even if she wasn't a singer, Rihanna could have been a supermodel. This fashions spread is so fierce. Especially the cover.
